Tampa Bay has played 6 games and scored just 8 runs(which is odd in itself),but they have not been shut out.
I wonder, Yanks have 4 wins so far in their 6 games and Rivera has 4 saves. Has any closer ever had a save in the first 4 wins of a season?
I like this tidbit about my Reds in SI’s current power rankings: “Cincinnati is scoring 8.6 runs per game, allowing 3.4 runs and sporting a +26 run differential, which is the best in baseball. The offensive onslaught has been most impressive – especially with the first three games coming against the Brewers, the Reds’ projected top division rivals. Cincinnati leads the majors in runs, batting average (.339) and on-base percentage (.404) and the NL in HRs (eight) and slugging (.531).”

GO REDS! Thought we were gonna go 6-0 last night. ![]()
Other than this season? Pittsburgh has 4 wins, and Hanrahan has 4 saves. I can’t imagine that’s a very unique stat.
The Cardinals still have more GIDP (10) than Extra-Base Hits (8).
ETA: They also have a higher OBP (.304) than SLG (.297)…
The Orioles are 4-1.
