I hope this doesn’t count as a request for medical advice. It’s more a curiousity thing, though if you think I need to see a doctor, please let me know.
I’ve recently been doing some sprinting as part of an effort to improve my general fitness. I usually jog quite a bit, but I’ve never really sprinted before.
After I’ve done a few sprints, I notice that the middle of the ball of my foot appears to be pressing down more than usual. It’s as if the middle two or three bones in my foot are almost touching the ground. It feels awkward but not really painful.
So what’s going on here? Is this a standard thing that I’m unfamiliar with because I’m not an athlete, or is it unusual? If the latter, is it possibly a medical thing?
