I’ve had something similar happen to me, not when I was quoting someone who had an article link, but someone who had a photo link. It wouldn’t let me respond with the photo in the quote despite the fact that I hadn’t tried to upload anything, I was literally just quoting the previous post. I eventually had to give up and leave the photo out of my quote, but it let me quote the text at least.
Moved to site feedback, since it’s about the software.
I’ve had that happen a few times, too.
