In many cases (most of those that I personally have had experience with), the man’s body does not press down on and immobilize the woman’s body. The man has these things called “elbows” that may be used to minimize the pressure. And, anyway, the part of the woman’s body that does move moves in a way that is typically not impeded by the weight of the man – in fact, pelvic rocking by a woman in the missionary position can theoretically lead to the same kind of damage to the penis as woman-on-top action.
I can also state absolutely, from personal experience, that thrusting is not a learned (cultural) behavior. It is like when you have an itch: you usually do not just scrape your claws across the area once and then stop, because the action is clearly unsatisfying. When full penetration is achieved, it becomes obvious that the activity is incomplete, but there is no further to go, so what else does the man do but start to withdraw, which kind of feels good, and so the itch analogy. It is also possible for the man to penetrate full, hold, and let the woman rock back and forth (which feels good to her because of clitoral stimulation) and achieve orgasm without repeated thrusting.
The thing to understand is that conception in humans is a comparatively low-frequency event. Estrous-cycle animals typically conceive in a single mating because their reproductive systems are built to facilitate that. Humans (and, I think, some other animals) have a best-case 20% chance of viable conception from sex, so they have to do it repeatedly in order to reproduce. Hence, both partners usually need to be fairly keen to participate, which one big reason we like sex so much.
