I came across that site once. Someone else in another thread mentioned the “humantaur” fetish. There’s also a broader related fetish for images of people with multiplied limbs.

Briefly, it deals with the fetish of apotemnophilia–the desire to become an amputee. Many of the links in that thread don’t work any more, but here is the Wikipedia entry on it. I just do not get bondage. It always looks to me to be vastly insulting to the bound, speaking at the least of slavery and oppression and unequal treaties and disrepect and all the things that people have struggled to get out of across the centuries. I have read that it is in fact an act of trust on the part of the bound, trust that the binder will in fact be there to release them, but that’s not at all my initial emotional reaction.

It’s not just about the binder getting off on domination, it’s quite frequently about the bound finding submission and helplessness arousing, or being able to indulge in a quasi-rape fantasy. Paradoxically, the bound person is in a sense in control of the scenerio: they set the bounds of what they want done, and then are able to completely let go.
The fact is that sex is often as much about the dark side as it is about love, even between people who respect and trust one another.
I’ve also heard the eroticism of bondage partly attributed to a sort of revered emotional reflex (I don’t recall the technical term). Reflexes often can somewhat work in reverse*; in this case, since sexual arousal causes muscular tension, muscular tension can sometime cause or increase sexual arousal.
