I feel your pain - I am always amazed at how T-shirt for causes or special things like SDMB have a tendency to be white. White T-shirts are just stupid!!! All they do is attract grass stain, coffee stains red win …

For me, I can only wear a dark bra when wearing light colored tops.
Should that be “When wearing a light colored top, I can only wear a dark bra”? Or did you mean that wearing a dark bra under a dark top is a problem?

Oh, screech-owl, you are apparently not down with the latest trends in fashion. It is currently NOT cool to wear anything BUT a dark or patterned bra under white. In fact, the teller at my bank the other day was wearing a lovely turquoise bra with fushia flowers the other day. I know this because she was wearing a white shirt and a slate blue print skirt. See? Coordinating the bra color to the skirt color is also not necessary to be on the cutting edge of fashion.
Since us more discreet (read boring) fashionistas always wear a skin-colored bra under white, perhaps JuanitaTech is matching her bra to her skintone so that it appears invisible when viewed through a light color. A white bra under white is too noticeable.
I like the Seinfeld bra worn as outerwear look better.

Yes, I have to wear a bra that matches my skin tone under a white shirt. Since I’m a lovely shade of brown, I cannot wear a white bra under a white or light-colored shirt.
Come to think of it, I don’t own any white bras.
Same problem here. My nipples are so dark in comparison to the surrounding boobie that white/light colored shirts present a problem. Even the skin toned bras (non-padded ones) sometimes let the nipseys show. Drives me batty.
