First, the backstory: obscure late '60s Bay Area rock-soul-jazz fusion band called The Sons of Champlin produced a great double album, called 'Loosen Up Naturally". I had a much beloved copy (on vinyl)–one of the 3 or 4 they sold–which I lost in a breakup several years later.
Fast forward 30 years, and Napster comes along. On a whim, I see if there’s anything there: and lo and behold! I download my favorite cut from the album, “Get High”. (Don’t laugh. I don’t do that stuff anymore, but it’s a great song.)
To free up disk space, I put all my .mp3s on a CD-RW. Many months of listening pleasure follow. Then, in a tragic formatting accident, my CD gets wiped out, and my gethigh.mp3 goes with it. I’ve checked LimeWire repeatedly, and none of their subscribers have a copy.
So here’s the request: does anyone out there have a copy of Get High by the Sons of Champlin on .mp3? That they could send to me (get e-mail from my profile)?
I realize I could buy the album , but let’s call that Plan B.
Thanks.
