Offensive Google Ads Strike Again!

I had myself a chuckle this morning, because I am a fan of terrible irony.

(Please bear in mind that I don’t believe the SD staff has any power over the Google ads)

Black singles have the option for looking for romance at http://www.blacksingles.com.

Gay singles can look in http://gaysinglesonline.com.

People interested in a possible interracial relationship can check out http://www.interracialcupid.com.

Would you like me to continue with the examples?
Presumably all these websites would advertise in magazines, or papers, or websites aimed at courting these potential members. So as terrible as it sounds I was tickled silly at the general internet stereotype that women who try online dating would want to subscribe to a dating site like http://www.bbwromance.com/ .

Every now and then we get someone complaining about Google Ads picking something antisemitic, pro-republican, or misunderstanding autism. What say you big & beautiful women? Has craigslist failed? Should I start a membership? Or perhaps just a Pit thread?

 Is there any point to this thread?

It’s still early for me, maybe I can muster up some outrage after lunch.

If there is, we’ll need a Mod to move it.

Every so often (but not that often) I wish I wasn’t using Firefox with Adblock so I could see these ads that some people find do amusing or annoying. All I ever see at the bottom of each page is a small gray area with “Advertisements” inside it.

Not that often, and not for very long, either.

I’m wondering what the ones in this thread say, though.

I get an ad for Ambien, the sleeping pill.

Hmm, I’m at a new computer and I wasn’t logged in. With the banner ads on top, and the Google Ads on the bottom, when the heck did we start placing ads in the threads themselves?

See here, right under the OP. It was so long I couldn’t capture a clear picture of the OP and the first reply.

I need to visit ATMB more often.
