Yeah, I know. I should have been paying attention when it was announced. But there is a religious glurge ad at the bottom of the RC and Peanuts thread in GQ that is annoying me.
Thenk yew!
Shirley.
If you can complain in a sufficiently entertaining, humorous or vitriolic fashion, you should start a Pit thread. Just don’t expect it to do any good.
The same goes for any other ads you see that annoy you: TV commercials, magazine ads, etc.
Remember that the ads you see might be targeted specifically for your computer for whatever odd reasons. And may change randomly from view to view.
When I clicked on that thread link I saw nothing but cola ads.
So it’s my computer that’s decided that I need to read the “Left Behind” books? Must be all the porn sites I visit. My computer is worried about me.
The terms of service of the Google Adsense ads prohibit the site publisher from asking site visitors (us) to click on the ads ads, but I am just another visitor, so I can state as my personal opinion: if an ad annoys you, just click on it to cost the advertiser money. (but nobody should embark on some sort of clicking campaing, with either anti-advertiser or pro-SDMB motives, as this would be detected by Google as click fraud, which would run the risk of Google terminating the account.)
