I really got a kick out of the sign at the Springfield Heights shopping center: “Our prices discriminate because we can’t”.
Was that the shopping center formerly known as The Squidport?
A little obvious at the end–would Homer get his comeuppance?? It’s December 14, what do you think?–but I liked it a lot. Priceless Lisa, Nelson, and Flanders lines.
And who else wants that golden barometer computer thingy? <hands sheepishly go up all over the country>
“The California Prunes” and “The Year Santa Got Lost” were animated by Chiodo Brothers Productions, probably most infamous for their work on Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Chiodo Bros. has worked with the show in the past, providing a Davey and Goliath parody for the Emmy-award winning episode Homr.
I don’t think so, I don’t believe we’ve seen this mall before. It looked a lot like the Santana Row in San Jose, CA, which is an outdoor, faux downtown-esque place, filled with mostly high-end stores. I’m guessing LA probably has something similar. I wonder if they have a talking astrolabe store, I’ve always wanted one of those.
