Og smash my transcriber pedal!!

Before I smash my goddamn transcriber pedal (that goes to this machine) please tell me how to get it to work! I inherited this transcriber, and the foot pedal was unpredictable at best. I replaced it, and have had no problems for months, but all of the sudden it’s not working again. I push and push and push and OMIGODIHATETHISTHING!!! If I use the regular play/stop/rew/ff buttons on the machine itself there is no problem.

I don’t want to buy a whole new machine since they’re expensive, I just want the foot pedal to predictably work when I press the pedals. Is that so much to ask???

**featherlouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ** where are youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu???

I tried to find a users manual on the web, no luck.

The pedal is probably very simple - just a lever connected to a switch.
Make sure the switch is working, and that the cable isn’t broken internally at either end. A continuity tester and the knowledge to use it would come in handy.

Making sure the thing isn’t full of cat hair or shoe mud would also help.
