Oglaf appreciation thread - very NSFW - hilarious pornographic webcomic

I didn’t really get this one. (And yes Nsfw!)

Given all the things that exist as anthropomorphic personifications in the Oglaf world I didn’t give it too much thought. If there’s more to it than that I’d like to know too.

The muffin joke in the alt text was good.

Actually there were a couple of strips about a porno-themed bakery, so “sex muffins” was a legitimate question.

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, oglaf’s authors have a few standard styles of joke. This is what I would call an example of their “underwhelm” joke. Right when you think it’s going to culminate in something wild or deadly, it instead culminates in something humorously underwhelming - the protagonists just have relatively vanilla sex while sipping tea and eating muffins.

‘While sipping tea and eating muffins’!

Sunday Aug. 18 2024 “Biological Weapons”.

I feel like the second page of a two-page post is missing; what’s the gag?

Oh, and a 50,000 man army doesn’t just march up to the castle grounds. By the time they lay siege they’ve dug the jakes needed.

I wondered that also - but I think the gag is simply that the besieged king is insisting on ridiculous negotiating hurdles to slow things down because he believes the longer negotiations take, the worse sanitary conditions will get for the besiegers, and the more his negotiating position will improve.

As you say it’s not factual but since when was oglaf factual?

First time I’ve LOLed at an Oglaf for a while

I think that all of the insanity of the Oglaf world was explained in this one strip:

“Incense of Bad Decisions” is everywhere!

Gotta say, I like the ones that are crossovers to other literary universes.

Oh good. You clearly understood that one. I am clueless. Please explain.

It’s a reference to The Scarlet Letter, but everyone is wearing the scarlet A for adultery.

Ahh, I see. Obvious when you point it out.

Minimalist artwork this week, but hilarious! Hope you have a speedy recovery, Trudy.

I saw that a little bit ago. I didn’t get it.

The mouseover text is what did it for me.

Yes, that was more funny than the cartoon.

Also the alt text. The guy keeps his loose change there as well; quarters, anyway.

Today’s would have been helped by another page.

Considering all the magic in that realm, I think it would be funnier if the writing rearranged itself into proper English after the “h” was added. With an appropriate reaction from the writer.
