Finally got on the site, that server stinks.
I don’t get how the evidence points back to the apprentice? If the curse jumped from person to person, and we do see a bunch of guard bodies, the dead baby monster and lizard of regret (or whatever he his), how do they follow that long chain back to the apprentice?
Because they know that all of the crap tributes were dumped on the apprentice.
Well, for one thing, Ivan was in possession of the arrow when it all started.
And they know Ivan sneaked out of the castle when he had strict orders not to.
And they inspected the text that Ivan had written on the wall, perhaps they recognised his handwriting.
And Ivan was the one who told them that the monster had done it, whereas they fished the monster out of the moat with an arrow wound later.

Once they found the arrow of regret in one of the castle guards, it would be clear that the tale the apprentice told of an assassin in the castle was a lie, IIUC if it had been the assassin using the arrow, then someone that the assassin did **not **want to be dead would had been killed.
It was up for me today, then down. But before today it’s been a long time since I had any problems. They upgraded at some point IIRC.
How much time has passed since the guard got shot? Seems like months and months ago. Thought he died?
You were right that it was referenced in earlier comics, just not by name. The first instance is on the 4th page. If you look through the archive, I think it’s the one named Rapunzel that has the most instances.
Oh, and aceplace57, I think all the guards are women.
Maybe she just thought it would be sexy if the server went down?
And I, for one, am a bit disappointed that we didn’t see the Captain’s tits.
The Arrow of Regret got turned loose at night, Ivan left the castle and got into the magic city just at dawn the next day, got kidnapped and his light-averse captor waited until nightfall to begin major abuse, so it’s been close to 24 hours.
If they know that the arrow moves when a target dies, I’d guess more than a few guards have died. The first guard shot pulled the arrow out, so the guard on the slab isn’t her.
