I’d say it’s the first. Kind of like this old Dilbert cartoon.

I don’t think that it just attacks people one regrets killing (or not killing). It just attacks whatever you regret. I don’t know who would regret Mistress.
Still no update. Is the writer screwing with us?
Not everyone can commit to a comic a day like the author of Schlock Mercenary.
Her twitter said she’s trying for today, which could mean tomorrow.
I think I would notice if the writer were screwing with me. I don’t think one can draw those various sex acts without a certain savage vigour and enthusiasm in bed.
Please don’t correct me if I’m wrong; I’d like to cling to that fantasy a while longer…
Usually when it’s late it means it’s probably a three or more page episode.
New one is up. (5/29/11) (And it’s a three-pager.)
That’s one lonely vampire.
For some reason, I envision the vampire being voiced by Cree Summer, the one who did Susie from *Rugrats *, Elmyra from Tiny Toons, and Foxxy Love from Drawn Together (among some 70 other roles she’s done). That might just be me, though.
Lonely and frustrated. “Hey! Cock back in!”
Sounds like a strange curse… so it would be broken by one of them actually having sex with a (until that point) virgin from the “real” world during a once-a-century window… but until that point they’d fear infiltration by “sluts” as a huge threat…
Now, when Ivan wakes up and realizes he can’t see the Magic City any more, will he conclude that it means BJs do count?
All her kinsmen are dead, though I dont know if she’d even be aware of that. Or maybe she got a taste of Flarg and wants more?
What happens if a woman drinks the Potion of Girlfriend? The same thing? Or is it some sort of meta universe like in Being John Malkovich where he goes inside the portal to his own persona?
So unlike my surmise it seems she was trapped in the city. I still say there hasn’t been any particular reason given why she couldn’t have just walked out…
I think it has to be the latter because I can’t see how she would have known. Plus there is the fact she was disappointed when the guy de-virgining her faded (which wouldn’t make sense if she’d only wanted to de-virgin to get out).
On the other hand, check out the mouseover on the first frame. But that could be more whimsical than accurate to the plot.
No, it’s just that Navaan no longer has to worry about her “friends” killing her (and losing the “in” they had with the City of Easy Picking Virgins). So she’s on her own and, having had a taste of “flang” et al with Ivan, she has no reason to abstain anymore.
I liked her. I ship her and Ivan now.
Navaan?
Navaan is the Vampire Girl’s name.
OK, as long as it’s an off-strip thing. I didn’t think I’d ever seen her name used in the strip.
The extra texts for the new strip:
How do you view the ALT text? I can see it if I View Source, but who wants to look at a bunch of HTML just to see the ALT text?
I view the source HTML. I don’t think there is another way, except perhaps using dial-up.
Aw, she says that she doesn’t know if we’ll see her again. I was really getting to like her. I hope we do see more of her.
Well, we’ve already seen pretty much all of her, but you know what I mean.
