A lot of fairy tales would be much more logical (and a lot shorter) if the characters simply realized that torturing and/or killing the people dicking with them would quickly end their problem.

Today’s strip doubles as an educational opportunity. I had never heard of a beot before, but I find the concept fascinating.
I didn’t know it had a name before this. It is nice when someone loves their subject matter.
Have we seen this particular monster before? It looks sort of familiar, but I’m not an expert on the strips.
The closest I think we’ve seen is the monsters from Human Women, but those are non-furry, non-horned, and only have one eye. Alternately, there are the trolls who attend on the Winter Queen, but they’re rounder-shaped, shaggier, and also unhorned (and also not particularly violent). There really don’t seem to be too many bipedal monsters in the strip.
I don’t know why, but the punchline this week had me floored. Poor monster! Just showing up, doing his job and… WTF?! Now he probably thinks someone poached his terrorizing duties!
