Oglaf appreciation thread - very NSFW - hilarious pornographic webcomic

Or, at least, immortal-head-on-mercenary action? Come on. Something’s got to give…

A fake dead head?

Maybe they could stitch her head onto one of Navaan’s dead bodies? She’s got a room full of them after all.

Because all gods demand sacrifices, and priests are smart. It’s always best to sacrifice outsiders and foreigners to the god than members of your own congregation. Everybody distrusts foreigners, and if you cut out the still beating heart of a congregant once too often, people will stop worshipping and giving money out of basic survival instinct. It’s like the opposite of the saying ‘there are no atheists in foxholes’.

What’s the opposite of a foxhole?

A dog hole.

She has four settings. You forgot smugly showing that she can do something you thought was impossible. Especially if it hurts you a lot. Remember, it’s not a magic rope.

Belated, but I just got the reference in the last panel of the current strip. It refers back to this strip.

I thought it would make more sense when I went back through it afterwards.

But who killed the monks in the monks temple of luck, if it wasn’t Navaan and it wasn’t the fun god?

They weren’t killed in their own monastery/convent/temple/whatever the residence of the Brothers of Happenstance is called.

They were fake-deathed there and their “corpses” were left in situ (like the one that Grier examined) while the monks themselves were hauled off to the Temple of the Fungod for ritual sacrifice.
Oh, and I just want to say I think this was the best story arc yet. Still wondering what’s happened to Ivan, but the rest of the cast are keeping me plenty entertained while I wait to find out.

It was the fun god. You see it gobbling them up in the first panel of this comic.

Edit: Semi-ninjaed.

I wonder what would have happened if Grier had tried using the Curly Sword like a corkscrew.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s that kind of story. It’s not about Ivan and Mistress, or Greir and Navaan, or Vanka or the Snow Queen or Allegory or Kronar or Ponce de Leon. Or even Oglaf, the supposed title character.

There’s no central story or central character to the strip. Cooper just picks up and drops characters for individual strips and stories with no overall master plot.

Sure, I didn’t mean to imply otherwise. But Ivan is certainly one of the major characters, and I’m waiting to find out what’s happened to him.

Of course, there’s no official guarantee that he’ll ever be seen again, but I bet he will.

He’s probably whacking off in a closet somewhere, and shoving the enchanted semen into jars.

No, he’s “dead unless otherwise specified”.

As if that would stop a character from jacking off into jars in the Oglafverse…

I rest my case.

Forget Ivan. What’s happened to the lizard of regret/guilt/whatever now that it’s feeling guilty about Ivan? Does it have to haunt itself?

It’s busy having a guilt-off with the Love Skull.
