Oh fercrissakes...more snow!

I’m really tired of winter. My tulips were “this close” to blooming and then we got the cold snap and now we’re expecting 4 inches of snow. Sigh… :frowning:

What does the weather look like by you? Give me some spring stories!

April has been extremely warm here in England. We haven’t had a drop of rain in my area since March 30th, and the temperatures have been up into the high 60s. I was down in Devon over the Easter weekend and sitting in the pub garden by the sea it felt like June! By this weekend they say the temperatures could hit 75F in London, but with the risk of thunderstorms as it breaks down. In the meantime, I’m loving this weather (especially since I cycle to work now).

Probably not what you wanted to hear, though.

no spring stories here. It is supposed to be in the 50’s this time of year, but it’s snowing right now and we’re supposed to get 9" by tomorrow morning.

Are you in WI?

All my bulbs are about 6" high, now slightly wilted because of the cold. It’s sunny but still chilly.

Late 40’s early 50’s here in New England. It’s a beautiful day today: not a cloud in the sky, sunny, brisk but nice.

We’ll be getting your wintery sludge by the end of the week

Packing for move to Hawaii. Can’t take any more cold and snow. I figure we won’t get spring…just go right from winter to 98 degrees in the shade.

I hate Boston.

In the high 60s and the tulips and daffodils are in bloom. Kind of windy today, but it’s only supposed to get warmer and sunnier as the week goes on.

Snow dammit! About 3 inches so far but it isn’t supposed to last long. Oh well, this is Minnesota. It has got to be confusing the birds.

I’m glad to hear about weather in England. (Although some spring rain is generally helpful.) My mother’s in North Yorkshire for a four month stay.

I’m in Northeastern Illinois. And since my last post A FUCKING GIANT TREE FELL ON MY DECK. My railing is smashed, my grill is crushed, and I’m trapped in my house. There’s about 30 feet of bigass tree that has to be removed. DAMN IT!

Wow, that sucks. But look on the bright side, it’s too cold for a barbecue anyway. :dubious:

Their calling for up to 40 mph winds here. All I was worried about was my garbage cans blowing away. That really sucks man. I think I’m gonna stop complaining about the weather. You just proved to me that it can always be worse

We’ve had two days of rain here on the Gulf side of central Florida. Badly needed, as it’s been pretty dry lately.
Today it’s sunny and a fabulous 74 degrees. Getting a bit warmer as the day passes.
Outlook for the weekend: High 80’s, some showers.

Wow, Kalhoun, that sucks. Are you goiing to be OK?

Oh, to be in Jolly Old England now that Spring isn’t here.

The fucking TWO FEET of snow that trapped me in my house all day on Easter Sunday is starting to melt. I shoveled Saturday night FOUR times. On Sunday morning, I couldn’t even tell that I had shoveled at all. I spent all morning shoveling, then I had to shovel what I had shoveled already again because another 6 inches of snow fell. Then the snow plow came by piling a HUGE MOUND of snow in front of my driveway and I had to shovel another time. By mid afternoon I was able to get my car out. I made it about 3 blocks away, picked up another friend who was also snowed in and couldn’t make it out for the usual family festivities of the Holiday, and we made chili. My back was killing me on Monday, but at least I was able to make it to work. I am buying a snowblower next year!

But, like I said, it’s almost melted now here near Cleveland.

It was still snowing on the way to work. People were pretty grumpy about it. I want to wear my sandals, dammit!

The little piles of whiteness on the ground are accompanied by little piles of pinkness - this is the time of year when we have to brush cherry and plum petals off our cars. The magnolias are starting, tulips and daffodils are almost done, and the leaves are three-quarters grown on most of the trees.

It’ll be mid-fifties today and sunny with cloudy breaks.

Yes, we’ll be fine. Insurance Dude called and said that they’ll pay (after the $500 deductible) 100% to get the tree off my deck and onto the ground. Then they’ll pay up to $500 to have it cut and stacked. We can burn outside so we’ll be keeping it for bonfires. In addition, they’ll pay for repair of the deck, replacement of the grill, bashed-in flood light, and any damage to the siding. My Driveway Dude doubles as a Odd Job Dude before the asphalt plant opens, so he’s on his way over to assess the job and tell me whether or not he can help me out.

But are they adorable sandals? You really need to post in the Fabu Shoe thread.

Here in the norf of Merrie England the weather is great. Temp in the high 60s and expected to be higher towards the weekend.

Rain? wassat then?

I hear that! I’ve been complaning for the past week that I should be in flip-flops and capri pants, not turtlenecks and boots. But at least before it was just cold. Now there’s several inches of snow on the ground. That’s much, much worse.
As long as I’m whining: I really wanted to go shopping today! (Stomps feet.) We’re going away for the weekend and I want new jeans and a new shirt so I can wear them when I go shopping again on Saturday. (Insert pouty lip here.) And now I might not be able to go shopping today because the roads are crappy and I don’t want to go in the ditch. Stupid snow.
