Not a big deal really, just another day, except…
I got online this morning to retrieve the birthday cards that were hinted at all week. They were sent to my website email, and my website is down along with the email. This happens alot, but I’m only paying $6.00 for webhosting so…
I decide to take a hot bubblebath, and maybe a cool beverage. I look in the fridge and see that hubby got some Bartles & James coolers, not the usual flavor (mountain berry), these are melon something. I take a taste, YUCK! But I already opened it, so maybe it just needs some sweetener. No, now it’s sweet AND bad. Meanwhile I’m running the bath water and go to squirt in some bubblebath. The water is a dingy grey color and the bubbles are dying right before my eyes. Ok so they flushed out the main water pipe or something. I try again later after the water heats back up. Finally! I lay back in the warm bubble infested water, got my feet propped up, and some… thing… is…mis…sing. Instead of 10 Hot Pink toenails looking back at me, there’s only 9. How the hell did I loose the color off just one nail? Upon closer inspection I discover, 98% of the whole nail is gone! How odd, you would think that I’d atleast FEEL it. And then… HolyCrapThatHurts!!! :: whimper::
It’s not floating in the tub, or lying on the rug. Hmmm, I do remember the dog eating something off the floor earlier. And the day’s only half over.

I just want to point out that the folks who posted in response (lieu, dantheman, Dinsdale and me) have a total of 21,435 posts between the four of us. That much experience can’t be wrong (and I’d guess that we all know something about the beauty of more experienced women).

Sorry the birthday celebrating has kinda flopped so far, but hey, physically that’s about the age when most of our bodies start flopping anyway, so…:eek: (My old boss likes to say, “I’m carrying the same load, it’s just that the cargo has shifted!”)
Seriously, 40 is a GREAT age! You’re old enough to know what you like and still young enough to do it! Enjoy your 40s, I hope you think they’re as much fun as I have! (I only have five months go to till I hit 50…aack!!!)
And as you can see, by the time one is starting to come out of one’s 40s, one also loses the ability to code. :smack:
