Oh, My Freaking God! (Looong!)

SGZ’s admitted “geezer-hood” has me curious now as to the age span of the group in here.

Jaade i had to look it up, but it was worth it. thanks. (for the rest of you, it’s “Flash”)

Parallax and I both turn 31 before the year is out

Now I know that’s not old but 30 was pretty hard for me to accept since I didn’t feel like I was grown up enough to be 30 - if that makes any sense…

I mean when will I feel like an adult and not a kid who through some error ended up at the grownup’s table?

** DannyV I knew it was either flash, or lightning, but that was as close as I could get.
As for age 'fore we satrt just blirting them out everyone shoudl guess

What? LOL Hell no I’m not going to go first

Oh for pete’s sake! Age is a matter of how old you feel and generally I feel pretty young (at least that’s what HE said)

anyway… I think I am in the middle of our little group here somewhere so I’ll bite. I know most everyone’s age here anyway so it wouldn’t be fair for me to guess…do you want to guess my age or do y ou just want me to tell you…

I have this weird warped perception of people online. I tend to think thye are way older or way younger than they actually are.

I’ll tell my age again, since I’m pretty sure I said it on or around my birthday. I just turned 32.

So did you think I was 73 or 18? LOL!! I am 36. I told on my birthday too.

Hey, kids! What’s up?! I was gone almost a week, and three pages is all you managed to do? What, slow Halloween?

Just popping my head in to say hello, and I’m thinking of you all…

Now. To catch up in 30 seconds or less:

Wyatt, Pleasanton was a bit far for me to drive my fairy princess and her friends on Halloween, but I was thinking about you. Particularly at around 1am, when the pixie sticks were REALLY kicking into high gear, and I desperately needed an escape.

Dave, yes, as a matter of fact, I have seen that movie, and laughed most of the way through it. Gotta say, I’m impressed that you didn’t let loose on that mom that called you a clown. Self restraint suits you. :stuck_out_tongue:
p.s.- Sherri’s afraid of BUTTERFLIES??? please to splain. nah, would take to long. please to sum up.

Salem; sweetie, you are NOT having a good week!! Spiders shudder and pee green sweaters- ACK! And yes, you can throw the snakes right into that shudder category along with creepy crawly things that make me want to sprint to the shower when they get on me…EEEWWW!

6, I can’t imagine you annoying a woman THAT much for very long.

sorella, hugs honey!! How was the kids’ Halloween? And yours? Good, I hope.

SD, I’m 37. Oh, and my very first crush was Eddie Van Halen. Which developed into full-blown (DONT TOUCH IT, WYATT!!) lust by the time I was sixteen. Have you seen what those fingers of his can…never mind. Discuss it later.

SGZ, one of these nights around oneish when I’m having one of my insomniatic bouts and we have the thread to ourselves, we’ll have to discuss my feelings about older men (geezers) and the sexiness thereof. To put it succinctly; those girls may not have just been teasing. And, thank you so much for the very kind email.

tanookie; COOKIES!!! I leave, and you bake cookies??? That is SO not right.

In other news, FBMC went to his first dance Friday night. His sister gave him s*** non stop, as did her friends, especially when they found out he danced with several girls. I didn’t know 10yo girls were conversant with the term “dog” and its implications…
Dayton is, sadly, confirmed, and work is continuing to pile up. Our contractor has gone on maternity leave, and I’m taking that workload, since our dear soon-to-be-departed CFO let slip that I’ve done contract negotiations before.
I’m hoping I can check in every so often. So, hang in there, boys and girls. Mama is not completely gone.

Mo! Good to hear from you! Thanks for the e-mail. It wasn’t pretty but I enjoyed it!

btw, I’ve seen Eddie in concert, twice, with binoculars. His fingers WILL move!!!

I’m 41, and my first crush was on my 4th grade teacher, Miss Williams. sigh

GD Bill Gates crap browser! I don’t lose posts at home!

Hey MO!!! We missed you! Cookies won’t take your place!

YEah Halloween was good - I remember my kids first dance…we have moed on now to his first love…OMG. He is 16 and I swear if those two could be surgically joined at the hip they would be. I had to have the follow up sex talk with him Saturday. He told me he’d be careful and I didn’t need to tell him and that if it got to that point he’d come and ask me to go to the store with him but I just told him I’d buy him a box of condoms. He thought about it and agreed maybe that was the best idea - then I don’t have to really be in his business and he doesn’t have to have the emabrassement factor…Ooooo, I didn’t want to know but I am not ready to be a grandmother either!!!

My first crush? I don’t remember but I think I liked David Lee Roth. You know I was always more of the bad boy type…[sigh]

i’m 36. first crush? don’t remember, but michelle pfeiffer in ladyhawke comes to mind. of course, that was a bit late to have been my first…

They MUST have been teasing… to think otherwise would be to invite madness:)

You’re very welcome. Dayton isn’t ALL bad ya know  I survived it for yikes was it really 10 years? Oh my.
First crush? Are we playing that game? Well it was actually the girl next door. (I am such a cliché). I remember my brother being all gaga over Farah but even in my youth I knew the difference between never, and maybe  Maybe that’s why I don’t really enjoy strip clubs that much… Hummmmmm…:dubious:

OOPS almost forgot… 39… Did you guess it? I’m thinking I’m over the median age here, and that the women are younger than the men… Of course that’s just a guess…

I didn’t know we were playing first crush…

My first crush was a boy named Brian in the first grade. I actually improved my writing and speaking to be in his reading group! (I wrote most of my letters backwards and went to speech therapy so they put me in a lower group even though I read and wrote ok if you discounted the backwards thing)

I loved him from afar until he moved in the 5th grade. I would bring him twinkies every day just because I loved him so and he would talk to me! We sat next to eachother in class and he was really nice to me which was a rarity for me when it came to classmates.

Bwaaaahahahahaaa, SGZ, 39??!! It is to laugh. You’re nowhere near geezer status. But then, IMO, men don’t even reach “stud” status 'til they’re at least 35. 40 is better. Yeah, I’ve got a thing for older guys. I have my reasons, and yes, they are fairly selfish ones, thank you.
:sigh:…Dayton may not be bad, but it’s COOOLD. But the info was helpful, and brightened up the prospect of being there.

Sorella, I used to like David Lee Roth too, 'til I went to day on the green way back when, and he forgot most of the lyrics 'cause he was too drunk/stoned to know what the hell he was doing. That rather killed it for me.

My first crush? Hmm… would have been a boy named Adam back in 1st grade. We had these cement tunnle things on the playground that we would go sit and hide in. Had my first kiss… not a real kiss mind you. Just a little peck. Then he decided he liked another girl better. Typical. :stuck_out_tongue:

You’re the BEST, Mo!

MOMMY!!!
Hey, Mo! Great to see you!

Well, I’d expect many here to remember how old I am since my birthday wasn’t terribly long ago, but for the new folks, I fall right in there between tanookie and Dreamgirl … I’m 31.
:: lost in pleasurable thoughts, Rocky ponders the notion of being between tanookie and Dreamgirl … hmmm … ::

And first crush? Oh sheesh! That’s been a few years ago. Lessee … that would probably be Allison, in kindergarten. Actually, my second crush, Becky in second grade, turned out to be my first “girlfriend”, if you could call it that back then. She had this thing for Bo Duke, as I recall, so I had mom buy clothes for me to dress like Bo. Ahh, what lengths us men will go to in order to woo the women we love. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, and I’m ashamed to admit it, but I actually knew Flash was the name of Roscoe’s dog without having to look it up. I’m such a loser.

I must admit, I didn’t watch much Dukes of Hazard. But if you need 10 or 15 quotes from WKRP in Cincy, I’m your man! :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, since you dragged it outta me… I’ll be 36 when I wake up in the morning. If I wake up in the morning.

A can o’…? Oh! EARLY BIRTHDAY PRESENT!

Thank you ma’am-- may I have another?
SMOOOOOOCH!
David

Hey there,
I have been letting my voyeuristic tendencies run amuck lurking in OMFG for the past several weeks. I am a little surprised to hear everyone’s age. I really thought there was more of a disparity of ages, (more 40+'s and more 35-'s) but, well seems to me you are all in the same boat i.e. 30-somethings (and all so much cooler then the dreadful TV show, makes my 30th coming up in a few months pretty much painless  )

Not quite sure why I chose here to chip in my 2 cents.

Thanks none the less. You all have brought out many smiles, and a few serious belly laughs.

thanks
-I
