I didn’t get one either!
Incoming!!!
I got it! Thanks…pretty dog…pretty lady too.
Thank you! Gryphon is home now-uncomfortable and a little ticked off at me, but still a well-mannered young man. He got lots of attention at the vet and scored me the phone number of a fellow pilot- He is a Very Good Boy.
(of course I will not use the phone number- I wrinkled it up when I saw Pilot’s dog- a tiny Bichon Frise with painted toenails. Can’t tell me there isn’t a Mrs. Pilot with a dog like that…)
Painted tonails? I don’t paint my own nails most of the time never mind the dog’s!!!
Very nice pooch. Someone seems far happier posing with the doggie than the guy! I wonder if it is the hair? Or the company?
Oh and not to get off topic
But… where the $$##@@ is Dave?
Great minds think alike, I guess. LOL! Never mind…
ROFL!!! Alright, there are a FEW songs I like from the eighties, but not many. Turning Japenese has a whole different meaning tho, from what I hear.
I just can’t stand that whole drum machine boom chi boom-boom chi boom chi boom-boom chi crap…
And I know what you mean about change. I hate when everything is all up in the air, changing. I’m very set in my ways, probably too much. But sometimes you can’t avoid it. You need to be strong and do what’s best for you! Whether you decide to split or not. I guess that sounds like pretty selfish advice, but who else is going to look out for you if you don’t? (Besides EVERYONE in this thread…) {{{{{{Jaade}}}}}
Psalex, I forgot about your talking about Johnny Cash. I’m really sorry for you. He WAS the coolest! When I was young my dad had a ton of great old country albums. Johnny, Merle Haggard, Waylon, Hank Sr., old Glen Campbell, Don Williams, others, REAL country! I haven’t liked Country music since about Rhinestone Cowboy and then all that pseudo-Country from the '80’s. But that old stuff, especially Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard just melt me. Folsom Prison Blues was the first song I ever taught myself on the guitar, and I felt SSOOOO cool that I could play it and “sing” at the same time! I always loved Jackson too. I was very sad when June died earlier this year. It’s sad and kind of sweet that they died so close to each other. Now they’re reunited.
I flew a plane once. When I was 5, a friend of my Dad had a small Cessna. He took Dad and me up once. He let me take the wheel for about 30 seconds or so. Really. He let go, and I was flying it! He even let me make a little turn. WAY cool when you’re five!
Sorry! {{{{{{Jaade}}}}}}
But on the outside I can see the bottom of the canyon with the edge I’m standing 8" from!
Seriously though, I’d love to get into climbing outside and inside. It’s just that there are so many undiscovered dark passages inside the mountain. I love the mystery of the unknown. It’s just so different being hundreds of feet below the ground, seeing all the cool formations, and admiring the power of the forces that cut these holes and canyons. Simply amazing.
Here’s a link to a previous tour of the cave I went to. This is not my group, and none of these folks were with us this time, but the photos are pretty cool, and the trip narrative and report are spot on.

mipiace, check your email. I have pondered. And I have written. Probably written something quite ponderous.
Didn’t want to hijack D’Bear’s thread any worse than I already have.
Wow, those are some fascinating pictures, Rocky. Especially that one with the single curvy line of stala__ites hanging from the ceiling.
(WAY) BTW… is a peritrochoid the 2-d “rounded triangle” or the 3-d rounded triangle cylinder? Just wondering…
Two hugs? What did I do to get so lucky? ~winks~
I guess I am such a fan of 80’s music because I was a child of the eighties. Almost every 80’s song I hear has a great memory attached to it.
Aww, you guys are so sweet, every one of you. We so need to have an OMFG club get together.
I appreciate what you are saying, it’s not selfish, people have to look after themselves and I’ve been looking after people since I was a rather young girl. It really is time for me to focus on myself for a while. And you are completely right, I’ve been busy looking out for all of the people I feel responsible for, and haven’t been good to myself at all.
Thanks doll! ~grins~ I think I have declared it for myself though, even though I’m still here now, it’s because of circumstance, and not because I’m unsure of my decision…scared and nervous yes…unsure…no.

mipiace, sorry I forgot about this. I wanted to comment at lunch time, but the boss was gonna be back soon and all…
And you should take ALL romantic advice from me with a grain of salt…
It sounds to me like Studmuffin is afraid to really commit fully to you, for fear that some available (and temporary) sweet thing might come along. It does sound like he really likes you and comes back because of that fondness, but also because of the comfort you offer to him. Almost, but not quite, a motherly, safe, always there, kind of thing. (I hope this makes sense and you know what I mean.)
I think your stand-offish, let him decide attitude is exactly the right tack! He needs to decide if he is done sowing his wild oats or ready to really settle down. Trying to box him in is probably just going to make him rebel.
I really hope this works out in your favor, one way or another! (And sorry if this is too direct or pessimistic… I’m nothing if not brutally honest.)
As much as I hate change and all… There IS a certain exhilaration and titillation to that, huh?! In small doses, the unknown is quite thrilling!
Yeah, I have to admit there is, in some ways…~L~ There’s that new door thing, new opportunities, and the chance to be independent and stand on my own two feet…

A peritrochoid is the double-lobe shape that the “rounded triangle” orbits within. Actually, you’ll see it referred to as an epitrochoid often, but peritrochoid is more correct. This site does a much better job of explaining the geometry than I can. http://www.nellump.net/peri/whatIs.html
Oh, ok, it’s the double lobe…
And I thought it was all the hot women in this thread who had the “double lobes!”
Okay, we all agree Davebear has abandoned us (for perfectly acceptable reasons, mind you ;)), but has anyone seen … the Wyatt?!?!
HEH! Outstanding!!
