Oh My! I failed 3rd grade! (USA)

A friend just sent me this. I tried, I got 35 of 48. It seems I don’t have such a good grasp of the Northeast.

48 out of 48.
Actually I accidentally dropped one on a state I already had right.
I guess this is the benifit of being a military brat. Since all my siblings were born in different states it helps you learn where they are.

39/48. I’m blaming it on my mouse – the state wouldn’t click in properly, and I’d have to drag and click again. It totally effed up my time.

I got 48/48 with time to spare!

Got all of them with time to spare.

And I thought I’d mess up Vermont and New Hampshire, because I always had difficulty with those two.

48 out of 48 with plenty of time to spare. 1/4 of the bar left actually. I probably could have done it quicker, but I sat there a few minutes not quite sure what to do. LOL. I also had trouble with the smaller states. Conneticut kept trying to fall into Rhode island for some reason.

I have to admit that I am a geography nerd. There are probably only a few places in the world I cannot name. Or name the capitol. The US is easy. They should have made it harder and made you match up the capitols of the states.

48/48, with plenty of time to spare.
I guess I pass the third grade, at least the geography part.

I just realized that after getting them all right a screen popped up saying

“48 out of 48 You failed Third Grade! The short bus is coming to pick you up!”

WTH??!?

Zebra: I got that too. I just kind of ignored it.

Got 'em all here, too, with plenty of time to spare.

I used to get Vermont and New Hampshire mixed up. The easy way to remember which is which is that Vermont is roughly in the shape of a V. This has helped me to distinguish them more easily.

In school we had a test for identifying the 50 states (Alaska and Hawaii included, of course) on a Commodore 64 (showing my age), but each state was drawn by itself and not on a contiguous map. This worked for most states, but it was virtually impossible to distinguish Colorado from Wyoming.

Anyone notice that it doesn’t regard the upper peninsula of Michigan as being Michigan? “X”/boing.

48 of 48 with room to spare.

I got 48 out of 48, but if there had been less time available, I would not have. I had to trial and error some of the New England states, and a couple of the “square states” out in the West.

Got 'em all.

Wonder how folks would do on the provinces and territories.

Got 48/48, with time to spare, although New England was tricky because if you don’t get the arrow right on the state, it Boings on you.

I’ll take that challenge, Matt. I had to learn all about Canada because virtually everyone I worked with in Seoul was from your nation.

48/48 with time…

But I also always have trouble with New Hampshire/Vermont, Alabama/Mississippi, and Colorado/Wyoming. They look alike to me.

It’s multiple choice, not a clickable map, but:
Capitals & Provinces

Second time through the OP’s link I was FLAWLESS. And I had over HALF of the time bar remaining.

I found dragging the mouse harder than getting the states themsleves.

48/48. More than half the bar remaining.

On this one, I got 87%. When I went back to the quiz page and took the “Provinces and Capitals” quiz, I got 100%, but I doubt that I would have if I had not taken the other one first. Hmm…now I get to go see what other quizzes they have on that site.

14/14 Since when is Newfoundland called Newfoundland Labrador?
