My first reaction when I heard the news about the blackout in the US/Canada was: If I were a member of a terrorist organization, I’d be busily typing a little message about how my group were responsible for this.
I wonder why it took them so long … do I have a hidden talent they don’t have? Should I consider a new career?
On a completely unrelated note, but related to the blackout, the NBC news affiliate in Chicago referred to millions of people as “blackout survivors” last night. Yeah, as opposed to the thousands upon thousands that perished in the lack of electricity.
Not only did Al Qaeda throw the lightning bolts which downed the power lines, they also snuck into thirty power stations in the Northeast and removed the circuit breakers. Then, an AQ operative wrote Bush’s overly vague public statement that the plan of the US Government is to “find the problem and fix it,” thus undermining American self-confidence.
Next week, the al qaedas plan to strike with a ten minute eclipse of the sun, after which, Bush will promise to find the weapon of solar obstruction and deal with it.
I also believe qaedettes are responsible for curdling my week-old milk.
