Wow, the smurfs! That is a blast from the past! They made up a huge smurfing part of my childhood and I can say that I am smurfing excited about smurfing seeing the movie.

As for bringing the Smurfs back, why not? I mean, UNICEF’s already blown them to pieces.
Bliss was also the voice of Crusader Rabbit, the first TV cartoon character, and my personal favorite, Ms. Bitters from Invader Zim. “I wanted to be an astronaut too, until my rocketship exploded in space. I learned that dreams always end in horrible implosions.”
That’s the Smurfs’ original name. Peyo, a Beligum cartoonist, was thinking of the word “schtroumpf” (a word for when you can’t think of a word, such as “thingy” or “whatchamacallit”) and decided to create characters with this name.
Peyo’s original Smurf strips had a lot more charm to them than the American animated series, and if the new movie can channel that sensibility, I can totally get with that.
