I think you have a nice view out your back entry.
I play with iPhoto all the time. Now I’m off to work as a library [del]serf[/del]page again. I did adult non fic yesterday–and I liked it much better than youth non fic. The books are bigger, more uniform in size and it’s quiet back there. It was nice. Today wil be picture books and mayhem.
Anyone want to write a 20 page paper on the Everyman allegory used in fiction for me?
Don’t all answer at once…

Thanks for the well wishes, bobbio and mamat

Ooh, I like the bootom left one, that’s sort of sepia. Good job.
Our down-the-hall psycho neighbour moved into our very quiet building in late July. In the last few months she’s gotten into what looks like a one-sided escalating war with the girl under her, whom she claims is “harrassing” her, by playing music.
Last night she was banging pots, running her vacuum cleaner, and playing music really loudly, around 10:15. Mr. Lissar went down the hall to tell her to shut up, and when he knocked, she turned everything up, and screamed “This’ll really piss everyone off!”.
Then she started running up and down the hall, stomping and slamming doors.
Mr. Lissar went out and talked to her. The conversation started fairly reasonably, with her saying she’s not loud, and that she’s being victimized, and her mother just died, and ended with her calling everyone in the building fucking assholes, and telling Mr. Lissar that he was a manipulative piece of shit, and that she couldn’t be evicted, because the bitch landlady didn’t have a case.
Cue running back inside and slamming door, then turning the music up.
We called the cops, so they have our complaint on file, now.
What kind of an idiot responds to stress by running up and down the hallway, stomping? It’s like a three-year old’s tantrum.
This is idiotic.
Stay tuned. She may do it again tonight.
Oooh… big hugs for pugs and grampypugs - Ophelia will be pedalling hard again tonight after she’s been to the v*t for her booster shots. I’m so not looking forward to that. But I do also have Jericho to watch later since 'im indoors has been secretly downloading it from somewhere. What on earth am I going to do for entertainment when he finally gets a job?
MuttMajorDomo, you affected by the overnight tornadies in Raleigh? They’re headed for Mayberry now…
Oh, and where the hell is Ellen Cherry? She hasn’t posted in an MMP for a couple of weeks now. Is she now too cool for us? :dubious:
Prayers and good thoughts for Grampy headed down your way from south Jawja Puggy.
LiLi ain’t neighbor drama fun! Well, ok, not fun for you but the rest of the cool kids will derive much entertainment from your posts about psycho neighbor. I predict they will be as riveting as Jah’s continuing saga of AC!
Rigs I would but umm… my doctor says I’m allergic to term papers.
There are some people who, having suffered a loss of a family member, suddenly feel like the world should bow down to them because after all “my spouse/child/parent just died” like that’s an excuse for behaving badly - People who use personal tragedy as an excuse are messing with the bad karma and they will get theirs. Which is not to say that some people genuinely behave diffferently after a loss, but the mature ones don’t go around like spoiled 3 yr olds. I’ve met a lot of people like your annoying ass-hat of a neighbor. Too many.
Many many years ago I volunteered at a local trekking club. Trekking as it in the mountains, not Spock fans (although we had our share of those, too).
One day we were in the bus and I berated some 13yo for I don’t even remember what. He called my mother a whore; I replied (in an even voice) that I didn’t think he was qualified to know what my mother did or did not do for a living but I did believe his mother had probably taught him better manners.
He did this tragic gesture (if there had been a soapbox and an old human skull there… ah, what Hamlet the world is missing!) and said “she is dead, I am an orphan”.
My reply: “that’s no excuse to give her a bad name but showing such lousy manners. And get seated.”
Good morning one and all.
Rosie, I’m sorry, I meant to address your pictures last night, but was trying to hurry through my post. At any rate, you looked very regal.
The Photoshop pictures are neat too.
Puggsy, good thoughts are being sent to you and Grumpus. I hope things improve.
I am back at work today. Bleah…just not feeling it. But, I have a ton of crap to do, so here I am.
I’ll try to pop in later.
nava, sounds like a severe case of testosterone poisoning.
Cool pix, rosie.
Hugs to everyone who needs them.
I think I’m this --> <-- close to having a better way to do the forecast for next year so I don’t have to keep redoing stuff manually every couple weeks. I may still have to redo stuff, but at least it wouldn’t be manual: I could just hit a button and the computer would do it for me. MUCH better. And much more accurate. The output of the process I do is a spreadsheet with 30,880 rows. Yeah… the manual process always results in errors. No matter how careful any person is, with that many rows to do, there are going to be mistakes. So if I can get the computer to do it, it’ll go faster, it’ll be more accurate, and I won’t go insane! Yay!
Two things Nava.
First, bwaaahaaahaaahaaa the Hamlet line is priceless!
Second, bet that kid decided not to mess with you anymore!
Bolding Mine
Sez who?
I’m the eldest of three siblings.
Second-eldest of thirteen cousins.
Second-eldest of twenty-some second cousins, cousins of cousins et al.
And I spent years being “invited” to the same birthday parties as my brothers. Twenty-two boys and me outside, a handful of mothers inside having coffee and cupcackes.
Never shall I claim to be sweet but Thou Dost Not Mess With Thy Kid Sitter. I had absolutely zero interest in getting yelled at because some idiot cousin or unrelated brat had decided to test whether his head or a chunk of concrete was the hardest. Against someone with that level of experience, the little princessboy didn’t have a chance.
Ya know, were it not for the fact that I am gay, I’d move to Spain just to [del]stalk[/del] woo you.
rosie, there is no way you could have worked anywhere 25 years unless you started at birth. I loved the royal wave - had you been practicing?
I tried to post twice yesterday and it appears none of my posts made it. My internet connection is whonky when it rains - and boy did it rain yesterday. After the cat release, I stayed in the house.
Booster Club meeting tonight. The President of the club called me yesterday and asked me to call all the board members and ask them to come in early so we could go over plans for the Christmas party. When I called the first vice-president, she already knew because she had lunch with the president. So why didn’t he tell me that? I’m gonna get him! Making me look silly!
Tupug - best wishes for your Grampy. Hope whatever is wrong is fixable.
There is a large cat sitting on his wide-load butt at my feet, begging for some lovins. I better get off here and deliver as requested.
Great pics, rosie. At least you got something for 25 years. And I love your Photoshop photos.
I know you’re right, Sean, but it’s fun to fantasize about what I would say to her. New Girl came back today, so that’s a step in the right direction.
I could barely get out of bed this morning and I slept 13 hours last night. That’s on a quarter of a pill. I guess if I took a whole pill, I’d sleep for 2 - 3 days. We have a relaxation training today. I was going to go, but I think I’d fall asleep.
Good thoughts going to Tupug’s grandpa.
Good afternoon everybody! I am up and am having my morning coffee. The Canes won last night, and I was able to stay for the whole thing, and still make it to work on time. It’s raining today, so I am not going to do much, make just Roomba through the apartment.
Rebo, OUCH! I cracked my toe like that once.
Good job rigs!
rosie, I missed everything because I was sleeping/working/watching hockey for the last 24 hours straight. I like the Photoshop pics, and the royalty(Would you like to be queen of the kindom of Mundania?)
Hugs and prayers of Gradpug
bobbio, there were tornadoes? I must have slept through them.
Jahdra, you could get her a copy of this, to explain your beliefs
The sun has come out, but I still ain’t doing a thing.
