Oh, the regret. Pain, suffering and bad bad bad disappointment. The horrible 'Wish'

Why is there a place on the internet called ‘Wish’?

I wish they’d go away.

I received a nicely packaged carton today from them.
Not one item was satisfactory.
A tee shirt I ordered for myself looks like it might fit one of the Grand-wrex.

The socks weren’t the right ones. Thin does not describe them.
The items were cheap. The shipping was not.
It’s been so long I forgot I ordered the junk.

The lil’wrekker says don’t even consider returning the items. They’ll never get back to you on that.

:face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

actually most of the stuff I’ve ordered on wish/geek has been what they’ve advertised … just ask for a refund through wish itself if you want your money back … I look at it as going to the professional flea markets/dollar stores most of its cheap knockoffs that won’t last more than a month or two …

Hey. I asked for a return/refund on the tee-shirt. They are sending me a new one in sz 8X.
That oughta fit.
No charge. Don’t need to return the other one. :smirk:

Wish has a reason to exist, but you do have to know what you’re getting. It’s all going to be really cheaply made stuff, because it’s stuff made for markets where they don’t have a lot of money, then shipped over here. The long shipping times are because they ship everything to the US in bulk once they get enough orders, in order to keep international shipping costs down.

It’s not going to be equivalent to the stuff you get over here that costs more. And any stuff that looks like a name brand will likely be a knock off. And, unfortunately, the process is ripe for scams, like selling fake computer parts, as those tend to come from the same countries that the other stuff does.

(I do wish they would do something about the fraudulent stuff. But, for now, I just avoid buying anything important from them.)

Thx. Big T. I get it.

The sites from China are a total crapshoot. I ordered the same dress twice in the same size that supposedly should fit me. One was about 3 sizes too small and the other was only 2 sizes too small and meant for someone about 10 inches shorter than me. My niece wears it as a tunic. I don’t order from China any more.

Mind you, the stuff I order was probably made in China, but I use reputable sites only.
