Oh, they're cleaning my street.

How wise of the city to sweep the streets at 2:04 in the morning, when everyone is home asleep and sure to be awakened by the noise and when everyone’s car is parked on the street so there’s no way half of what they’re supposed to be sweeping won’t be touched.

:::sigh::: Don’t mind me. I have fluid buildup in my ear. It’s bothersome and it’s making me cranky.

I did get a 96 on my Family Law test that I didn’t study for, so that’s something.

Otto, if it makes you feel any better, my town picks up the recyling 2-3 hours before I want to wake up, no matter what time that may be. I’m pretty sure they call my neighbors to find out when my lights went out and add a couple hours to that, just to make sure I’m SOUND asleep when the noise starts.

Oh, and then there’s the pact amongst my family members to each call me on a different day of the week before I’d ever consider getting up. They’ve chosen to use my answering machine to record their anti-rest propaganda before forcing it on the public at large. The winner, I think, gets to call me on Sunday.

Also, there’s the guy followed me around in high school who somehow found out my address - he keeps showing up at times when I want to take a nap. He doesn’t do anything, he just shows up and rings the doorbell and yaps at me until my eyes start bleeding. He’s a part of the conspiracy. The Valerieblaise can’t sleep for more than 5 hours conspiracy. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. AFAIK, EVERYONE has heard of it.

Not that I have any reason to be bitter.

Everybody knows that Steve McGarrett only takes orders from the governor and God - and occassionally even they have trouble.

OK this is a mini-rant. When I saw the thread title I thought we had hit the ultimate in mundane and pointless.

Billdo, you think that was the most mundane? Have you seen ANYTHING by M2Lepton?? :stuck_out_tongue:

“Honestly now, Chaplain, you wouldn’t want your sister to marry an enlisted man, would you?”
“My sister IS an enlisted man, sir” the chaplain replied.

I talked about this before a little bit. I wrote a web survey for my city & 76% of the people thought they should clean, get the trash, after 730am. You can ask your city to change the hours.

Why didn’t you?

Seriously, I heard they did it because there was much less traffic, and the cars parked would probably still be there anyway during the day.

Well, I mean, not your town in particular, but all towns. Because, of course, I don’t even know where you live. I haven’t been following you and I don’t know what you do in your private time, you naughty little monkey.
