Oh, those crazy drug commercials

Ah-so, grasshopper. That MUST be it!!! :dubious:

Oh dear sweet God, I have tears running down my face. That is the funniest thing I may have ever seen.

Actual side effect that I experienced taking Midol for cramps…stomach ache.

So instead of being doubled over in pain, I was doubled over in pain. That was fun.

The point where tears started running down my face the first time I read it was
"In a small number of tested cases (84%) PANEXA was found to cause abdominal wall muscle breakdown coupled with spasmodic activity in lower back/spinal muscles, resulting in most patients violently bending forward like a book slamming shut. "

Then it just kept going.

And you know, it was still just as funny when I read it this time.

I swear my spirit dies just a little when I see some of silly disclaimers during a commercial. I know its not the hawkers fault, but still…

I love the Toyota Truck commercial where the upset girlfriend has her boyfriends truck thrown off a cliff…only to have the truck drive away just fine. And on the bottom of the screen “Dramatization, do not attempt!”

Or the one I saw last night, where some kids are looking at fish underwater, and the car they are in drives up out of the ocean. On the bottom of the screen “Dramatization, car not suitable for underwater use.”

No, really?

Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball.

If you like that parody (and I do), you’ll love this catchy song from the people who give you Consumer Reports magazine.
