And I’ve got a tattoo of my family crest on my shoulder - which is, in fact, a literal clan emblem. Am I being stubbornly divisive? Self defeating? At what point, exactly, should I expect an anti Scots pogrom to kick down my door? And how does my gay pride bumper sticker fit into all of this? What about my Star Wars t-shirts? I mean, I’m certainly announcing a group affinity when I wear that - not one as deeply felt as the others, but surely, the principle must hold, right?

Your denial (and righteous indignation) is transparent and your argument’s cleverness-with-verbiage is all in your imagination. Yes, of course you were talking about a cabal. No, the fact that you were coy and didn’t use that word is hardly exculpatory.
Did you claim that there were artifices and intrigues going on by the Jews in Hollywood? Yep. Did you claim that this was secret (the reason for your fishing expedition law suit to discover evidence)? Yep. Did you claim that they were united towards a common plot, that of advancing Jews at the expense of gentiles? Yep.
The only quibble you could have, I suppose, is that it was an organically arising, spontaneous-conspiracy, an “old boys network” you called it, a ‘network’ that just so happens to deliberately hurt their own financial interests by advancing less qualified Jews over more qualified gentiles. I did read the discussion. It’s not about “it’s just a memorial”. I’m just amazed that anyone can be so, I don’t know, ignorant, I guess, regarding the symbolism (heh) here? Remember the Nazis forcing the Jews to wear yellow stars?
The Holocaust wasn’t about religion – it was about race. In this case, the symbol is connected with the event, the people who were targeted, and I don’t think it can be dismissed by people bitching about “separation of church and state”. I believe firmly that the government shouldn’t be endorsing religion. However, I ALSO believe in common sense, historical knowledge and context. The idea that putting the SoD on this memorial is “endorsing the Jewish religion” is downright fucking retarded.
And I think people who claim it is just like to argue for the sake of it, or have some kind of persecution complex. It’s absurd.
