Yay! Go Buckeyes!
It is? I’d hardly noticed.
::Goes off to get ready for work where she’ll be sporting an OSU sweatshirt::
I live 1 mile from the big house. 107K+ idiots converge on one place in a very short period of time. You have to plan on either leaving town for the day or plan on not going anywhere. I have to clean garbage, cans, bottles, and once a bag full of barf from the yard the next day. Happy when it is over.
A2 taxpayer. Roots for “Beat Michigan”.
At least they were courteous enough to store all the barf in one convenient bag…
I have to say, I’m pretty sure Michigan will manage to give me a heart attack in the 4th, but still lose after collapsing like a cheap folding chair. However, if anyone says that and is an OSU fan, I will be morally obligated to give you the glare of death.
That being said…
GO BLUE!!!
I hate both schools, so I traditionally cheer against the one who’s ranked higher, since they have the most to lose. So for this year, Go Michigan! (and take Ohio State with you!)
Q: Why did Michigan change their field from grass to artificial turf?
A: To keep the Michigan cheerleaders from grazing at half-time!
Q: What do you call a good looking girl on the University of Michigan campus?
A: A visitor.
Q: What do Michigan and pot have in common?
A: They both get smoked in bowls!
It was reported that Michigan head football coach Lloyd Carr will only be dressing twenty players for the Ohio State game. The rest of the players will have to get dressed by themselves.
O - H!!
I’d hate OSU so much less if people didn’t do that.
The correct response is:
I -O !!
Don’t be a hater…
Lighten up. We here in Ohio our proud of our ability to spell our state. Good thing it is only 4 letters though.
(I kid, I kid. Besides, I’m a Notre Dame fan.)
(color added)
Let me just repeat that: GO BLUE!
BTW OP, it’s properly called the* Michigan-Ohio State* game. We’re first alphabetically, if #2 in the rankings. (Since 1957, BTW, the series is 24-24-2.)
Hey now, it’s 110k idiots, thank you very much, biggest in the land. Damn I miss being able to go
It could be one interesting game after the game if the rumors about Carr, then possibly Les Miles are true. But either way.
GO BLUE!
Yeah, actually I mostly just hate them because I’ve always been a Penn State fan, making me not too fond of either team in this contest. And that little chant reminds me of too many lost games…
You’re an expatriate. You don’t count.
I really have nothing to add other than…
GO BLUE!!!!
The Michigan alum is doing business in Toledo, and after work is over, he walks into a bar, and sits down at the bar itself. After he’s had a drink, and is working on the next, feeling relaxed, he nudes the man next to him and says, “Wanna hear a Buckeye joke?”
The man turns to look down at him and says, “Bud, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tim, and I’m 6’ even, weight 210, and am a graduate of THE Ohio State University.” He points to the man on the other side of the Michigan alum, and says, “and this is Sam, my brother, who is 6’ 2” tall and weighs 240, and ALSO went to THE Ohio State University." Then he points to the end of the bar. “And that man down there, that’s our cousin Joe. He’s 6’ 5” tall, weighs 275 and played offensive tackle for THE Ohio State University." The man sneers at the Michigan alum and says, “now, did you want to tell that joke?”
The Michigan alum snorts in disgust and says, “Nah, not if I’m going to have to explain it THREE times.”
<rimshot>
Are grammar is also goodly. :smack:
We are proud of our ability etc etc. :smack: :smack:
I’d like to add, in my tone deaf screech:
HAAAAAAAAAAAAANG ON SLOOPY!!!
what?
As an Illini fan, I can only wish that they could both lose.
ETA: Actually, I think the outcome of this game has some significance to which bowl game Illinois goes to, but I’m not sure how offhand.
My daughter did not get good grades last semester. She is grounded. I have told her in no uncertain terms she will NOT be watching The Game tomorrow. Ivylad is waffling, but since I am just a Buckeye-in-law, I can stand firm.
Grades are more important than a silly old football game. That said, things will be much more pleasant around the house if OSU can bounce back from that humiliating experience last week in the Horseshoe (which I have been forbidden to bring up.)
