Anyone know of the best product to get rid of this? I need to wear them to a semi-dressy event, they’re tan-colored and that spot stands out like a turd in a punchbowl, and I really don’t want to buy new ones if I don’t have to.
Thanks

How about one of those Magic Erase pens that you can get at any supermarket? You can use them for spot applications and it won’t hurt anything else. If you try to treat the whole shoe, you are likely to make it FUBAR. They can get out most stains including oily ones.
A native American of my acquaintance said that using coarse ground cornmeal in your hands is the best method for getting oil and other gook out of suede. I’ve tried it over the years and it does work quite well, brings up the nap of the suede, too.
Kitty litter might work or Oil Dri if you have access to it.
This is why I am picky about when I wear my suede Eccos.
I understand that an art gum eraser can help. Here are some Google hits with more info.
If it looks like Jesus (or his mother) put them up on Ebay.
The coarse ground corn meal worked!!!

Of course, also a big thanks to everyone who responded!
