OJ Simpson says he's guilty?!

WTF!? I’m listening to clips from an interview OJ did with Katie Curic (sp?) yesterday, and he keeps saying “I’m guilty.” I’m completely stunned!

“I will tell you this, I’m guilty.”
“I don’t believe in a polygraph test, because as you know, I’m guilty.”
“I will never pay the Goldmans a dime of that money. I’m guilty.”

Is this a prank?? Is this for real??

Well, he’s not saying that he committed the murders, just that he’s “guilty.”

In a related note, I heard that in some television interview a month or two ago with Denise Brown (Nicole’s sister), that OJ called in and really her hell about trying to capitalize on Nicole’s brutal murder.

Don’t have any sources, but I think it was Fox News.

Ruffian, it seems to me that at least one of those sentences could be complete without “I’m guilty.” Perhaps someone pasted “I’m guilty” onto the ends of those sentences. Someone good enough at it could do it pretty well.

Besides, “I will never pay the Goldmans a dime of that money. I’m guilty.” That doesn’t really follow . . . now does “I don’t believe in a polygraph test, because as you know, I’m guilty.” The “guilty” part doesn’t follow the first part, IMNSHO.

Besides, they can’t put him on trial again. If it had been a hung jury, they could have done it.

Oh well.

Sounds like a cut and paste job to me.

Yeah, almost immediately after posting the I thought, “Hmm. This has to be a gag.” The more I’ve thought about it, the more certain I am.

Never mind.

(But wouldn’t it be sweet if he did?)

i saw the interview this morning on ‘today’. he was pretty adamant about not paying the goldmans because he WASN’T guilty. definitely a hatchet job.

Heard snippets of the interview on the radio this morning. He uses the words “if I’m guilty” during the interview, which would make a cut and paste job even easier.

By the way, one of the things he did go off about (again) was the whole “somebody should post a reward for the real killers for me” bit. I am completely paraphrasing here, but he said something to the effect of:

Why won’t NBC post a reward? Even if you believe that I am guilty, then you have nothing to lose, because then the real killers could never be found and you wouldn’t have to pay out a dime. If the real killers are found you would have the satisfaction of knowing that you helped bring justice to this case.

Interesting argument.

If I believe that OJ is guilty and I post a reward, I do have something to lose. If I believe OJ is guilty, then the court was wrong in OJ’s not-guilty verdict. The next trial could easily result in a wrong guilty verdict for someone else. You are right that the real killer could never be found guilty, because of double jeopordy and all, but an innocent party could be found guilty.
