OK Go's new music video — "The One Moment"

Another neat one. 4.2 seconds of video footage stretched out into the full length of the song. The link contains both the video and an article about the song and video.

Enjoy!

It’s one thing to make a rube goldberg single shot scene that goes along decently with music. It’s a whole other thing to make one that goes along decently with music WHEN IT IS PLAYED AT A FRACTION OF THE ORIGINAL SPEED!! Woah!

Also, explosions.

That’s pretty awesome. The balloons popping while the water holds its shape was one of many highlights.

I have to wonder if the band makes more money from YouTube views and corporate tie-ins than they do from actually selling their music?

That is flippin awesome. Their music isn’t really my thing, but that’s okay: they’re makers of incredible videos with a decent soundtrack, just like other folks make incredible music with decent videos. Room for both in the world, and I’m so glad OK Go is doing their thing.

Have they uploaded it to Youtube yet? I need to grab it off there to show my students at school. My students have loved all previous videos from them.

I saw it posted on Facebook so it’s on their page there.

Another incredible video by these guys. And I wondered what they could possibly do after Here it Goes Again.

No words.
21 stunned salute.
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Exactly! Wow!!

I’ll bet they do because IMO their music is shite. Amazing, awesome videos, to be sure… but utterly forgettable, bland pop music.

That band makes the coolest videos, no doubt about it. No other contenders left standing. And although it generally aint my cuppa tea music wise, I thought “This Too Shall Pass” was a pretty cool song, with another cool video.

This is super cool. I look forward to the seven page thread arguing with someone who comes in and says it was faked

I love those guys. Not my favoritest music, but unlike a lot of pop these days, it is catchy and I don’t mind listening to it at all.

I believe the band has admitted that their music isn’t all that great and they feel like they are artists first, then musicians. They definitely realize that their videos are better than their albums.

I’m guessing they fudged it a bit. They probably adjusted the speed of the playback up and down so it matched the song.

They did. There are several times you can see it happen.

I’ve never heard them say that. Where have you heard that?

Don’t remember. Maybe Rolling Stone? A few years ago tho.

What I wonder is how they got so quickly from their individual “stations” to the part at the end where they’re all jumping.

After the guitars exploding, there are a few seconds of regular time singing as the one guy walks toward the camera.
