In the correct MMP this time, Perseus and her Calico Sister, Ginny.
Howdy Y’all! Home from men’s night over to the church house. 'Twas great as usual. Tonight we had some jalapeno (to lazy to do the tilde thing so get over it) sausages. Muy YUM!!!
picu I have “No Snow” signs if ya need 'em. What? They work in south Jawja!
CatDude congrats on the impendin’ grampawage! Once you see that little bundle of joy you get to spoil and give back when he/she gets ill, you’ll be glad to be grampaw.
StickyBuns I am indeed proud. Sniff
ForbiddenSpice ain’t nuttin’ much better than good N.O.T. skins. Also I have never had bad N.O.T. soup.
I hereby declare all sickness shall be vanquished. I has spoken!
Now I shall go lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy time which won’t be long cause I’s tahrd.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
ETA: Cute kittehs flytrap!
Thank you, Swampy.
Ditto on the cute kitties.
I want one but I’m afraid the** H**ounds From Hell would want to rename them Breakfast and Dinner.
My pup would just give me the ‘what is that, are you serious?’ look and ask for a treat because in his world there is nothing more important that a treat.
I have to wrap presents.
I need to make a list because I am nothing without a list.
Well, I spoke to soon. : prepares for swampy’s look of scorn:
I made substantial progress, but my knee really couldn’t take much more standing today so I’m sitting here with ice on it. But I promise, first thing tomorrow, I’m back at it!
Lovely kittens,** flytrap**.
Love the kitties, plant!!!
Oh, those kitties are so cute, Flytrap, and they fit their names, or so it seems to me at least.
As wonderful as the holiday time is, it is also a time when folks can become depressed, and I think I’m suffering a bit this year. It’s a combination of things - I really like Albuquerque, but my gosh, I am just so far away from my family and friends. Last year it didn’t seem so bad but this year seems to have hit me pretty hard. I’m so glad that I have the mumpers to cheer me up!! I love seeing pics of your pets btw, any of them … well, except for maybe snakes and mice! LOL I’m a-scared of those critters so don’t much like to look at em!! But I love seeing kitties and pups - that makes me happy (LOL see my last post!!!).
Hope everyone is doing well, sending healing thoughts to those who need them.
kitteeeeeeeeeeeeees!!! =^.^=
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 57 Amurkin out with a predicted high of 66 for the day which pretty much means it’s already as warm as it will get. The low tonight is predicted to be 35. BRRRRR!
StickyBuns no look of scorn as you had to stop because of your knee. Hurty stuff is excusable. However, today is a new day so march yourself in there and ummm… do whatever it is you’re doin’ young lady!
I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy demands to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Le sigh.
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Blurf. I hate Christmas.
Blurf.
I have a bad case of the grumpies today.
I brought my sweetie to work because he was bound and determined to come in. I may end up taking him home early - we’ll see how it goes. My own sore throat isn’t - at least for now. I just don’t want to be hit in FL - if I’m going to get the bug, I want it before Firday. I can’t think of anything more miserable than being trapped in a car on I-95 when feeling like death. And I certainly don’t want to get the inlaws sick.
Cute kittehs, flytrap!
Much workage to get done and nothing else exciting to share, so there ya go. Happy Tuesday!
Conference call at ten a.m. this mornin’ about [del]absolutely useless stuff[/del] high level important stuff. Rah.
On the plus side, homemade peppermint cookies in the break room! YAY!!!
Hugs to Jim. That sucks.
Get better vibes to the FC Family & EmilyG.
It’s tuesday. BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
That is all.
Everyone at work is sick. It started last week with Senior Tech #1 coughing, gasping, snorking, sneezing, and generally sounding like he would expire any second. Then, Senior Tech #2 came down with it and was out yesterday and today. Senior Tech #3 was out yesterday, but it looks like he’ll be back today. Senior Tech #4 left midway through the day, saying he was feeling puny, went straight to the doctor, got diagnosed with strep throat, and given an instant shot of antibiotics. He’s banned from the office for the next few days.
Bossman Tech felt crappy yesterday but much better today, so at least he won’t lose any days. Junior Tech #1 occasionally makes snorky noises but swears he’s fine (he’s going to go for a walk), and Newbie Tech #2 mentioned she’d been throwing up all night and really doesn’t feel good.
Me, I felt kinda crappy Sunday evening/night - feverish, achy joints, upset tummy - and wondered if I was coming down with the flu. I may have been, but I was wise and got my flu shot months ago, so my otherwise wimpy immune system was able to rally its forces and beat the enemy back.
It’s been mostly slow, which is a good thing, but the few problems being lobbed at us are complicated, resource draining, and frustrating, which is not so good. As Newbie Tech #1, I really don’t want to get sick. I really want to be able to cover for my sick coworkers, but I don’t know a third of the stuff they do.
Oh, and I finally put up my external XMas lights last night. Yippee!
Morning! It’s a good day! Breakfast, giant cup of tea, and got the budget updated. Good news - still plenty of funds for reasonable presents, Xmas brunch, going out to lunch with a friend, special pizza and Christmas Story night, and still paying all the bills.
Said going out to lunch will happen in about 2 hours, then off to see my kid’s presentation at school.
I’m (as expected) sore and bruised today, but my neck works much better. Did you know it was even possible for someone to spend 90 whole minutes just massaging your neck, and still not be totally satisfied with the results? At least this time I made my next appointment before leaving, so I can’t flibbertygibbet about it and not go for months.
And now, decluttering for a bit.
Well, somebody brought US homemade gingersnaps…
:burp:
At irk but generally doing nothing. Today is the hospital-wide employee Christmas lunch (although I think they call it a holiday lunch which is stoopid and pisses me off). On the menu is cesear sallit, beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce, stuffed chicken boob (I think the stuffing is almond and apples), green beans with red pepper (how festive!), glazed carrots, smashed taties, rice pilaf and dessert: cherry cobbler or brownies. I had beef tenderloin medallions Sunday night, the leftovers last night, and I’m eatin the beef today. Guess what? I like beef!
Or as I like to say “Bah-humf*ck”
I am in conference call heck as I post. So far not too bad. However, I reserve the right at any time to upgrade (downgrade?) to conference call hell. Speaker phone and mute are good things.
Also, I wanna eat N.O.L. with WetOne. That sounds YUM!
