Ok who else has to work on this stupid friday?

mmmmmm…I just had breakfast delivered here with a case of Sam Adams and I’m getting paid for this shit.

My working day has finished, so if anyone fancies a beer, I’m off over the pub to get pissed…

Yep, I’m at work too and it’s a total snore. Most of the staff has the day off so we’re running on a skeleton crew. Not that anybody’s really needed because we’re almost deserted. (Public library, btw.)
My guess is that everyone else is either at home sleeping off yesterday’s gorge or whipped into a shopping frenzy at some retail outlet.

I’m at work too. I work for a community college (help desk/web development stuff), so I’m a state employee, but I work part-time. So I didn’t get paid for yesterday, and am working today, even though we’re closed, so I don’t lose another day’s pay.

There are no classes, and there’s only one other person here in my office. Most of the other offices are closed. I’m actually getting some stuff done though, cuz the phone isn’t ringing.

I met my beloved when we both worked at a B. Dalton. Our first Thanksgiving together, we worked the day before, got off at 5, drove 3 hours to my mom’s house. Spent the day with my family, woke up the next morning, drove back in order to be at work by 1.

We called the day after Thanksgiving, “Black Friday.” I am so glad to be out of retail.

I never have to work on Fridays.

Me. I do pager programming for a pager company, and I only work on emails sent by other Customer Service Reps. I usually do 100-125 emails a day. Today, so far: FIVE. And it’s almost noon.

We have reps here with idle times of over 30 minutes. Seems like it’s time to shut the durn department down. I’m not doing this Christmas Eve.

Just working a few hours today. Long enought to spread some hate and discontent, then, I’m off like the proverbial prom dress

I brought in all my holiday CD’s today in preparation for burning some holiday music. Yep, I’m multi-tasking today!

I vacuumed the house and loaded the dishwasher - that’s the extent of my workday.

Actually got some stuff done - nobody around to bother me.

And now - home.

Have a great weekend!

Regards,
Shodan

Well, I am at my place of work. I do tech support for our dealer base, but I only got three calls today. But thats ok, because I brought in my brand new gamecube, hooked it up to the big assed tv in the conference room near my cube, turned my ringer up high, and played games! The one other guy worked played too, and we had a blast. So it was a pretty good day after all.

I had to work today. It was busier then usual for this time of day, too. No, I don’t work in retail. I work at a State Park. That’s right, its cold, it’s wet, and still people came. I couldn’t believe how resiliant some of those people were. God, don’t they have homes!? Oh well, at least I got time and a half.

Working hard at the newspaper, getting all those bits in around the holiday ads. Of course, no one else is around in downtown Harrisburg, Pa., on a Friday. No, they’re all taking a bloody FOUR-DAY WEEKEND, while we get to sit here working . . .

pesch, wishing for a bottle in front of me

Okay, I’m home now. You know all those people who didn’t show up for appointments, didn’t call techsupport, didn’t need anything messengered…they were all at my mall. In the food court, and the Disney Store, and DAPY. Not in my store…we missed the day by $128.00…but they were here.
Of course, two of our seasonals failed to show, so at least we were all busy, not standing around dusting. And now I’m off to bed so I can do it all again tomorrow morning. Thank God Bruce the Talking Spruce wasn’t working today…the last thing I needed was inane chatter from an artificial tree.

6:00 AM until 11:00 tonight. Best Buy. I hate some people.

But those of you that were nice to your cashiers, I love you.

My register alone made $50,000 today.

I worked today 1-10 PM. Lowe’s. Cut and bagged about 25 Christmas trees, but the wind was blowing about 35 MPH and it rained around 4:00, so it wasn’t too bad. About like an average Saturday, except for the Christmas trees.

I’m working right now (24 nov 12:26am CST). All alone and reading. I got paid last night but I was on call (on call= at home sleeping). The military needs to have communications at all hours of all days and thats what they pay us civies the big bucks for.

Ooh, I got to work today too. Did a half day of work and we all got a lot more done than normal. Kept me away from the sales for a few hours also.

Yep, I’m working again tonight. I’m hoping for a real boring night. Last night was nice and slow until 4:00 a.m. when power went down in an area around one of our Data POP’s. After that I was busy as hell, even though I couldn’t do anything about it

I worked today, 12:00-8:30. I actually enjoy my job a lot, I’m an operator for the my university’s hospital. Unfortnatly, most of the calls today went along these lines:

Operator: University Hospitals, how may I help you?
Caller: I need Dr. X or Clinic X or Fill in the Blank X.
Operator: I’m sorry, it’s a University Holiday, he/she/it is not avalible/open. Can you call back Monday?
Caller: NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I will Dieeeeeeeeeeee! (Blah blah blah)

Ususally turns out they had an ingrown toenail or something. Grr. Waste my time, whydon’tcha? I would really rather have been home watching FX’s X-Files marathon. (Btw, some of those “best of’s” totally sucked! What’s up with that?)
