Okay, another vague, "do you know who this is" thread (young comedian)

I’ve been wondering this for some time. I saw a young stand-up comedian on a Comedy Central special and cannot figure out who the guy is/was. You guys seem very good at picking through vague references to movies/books/stories so let’s try a comedian.

He was a young skinny small guy. Very straight-forward and dry delivery. Sort of Mitch Hedberg-esque kind of comedian, but I don’t think it was him. At the time I saw this comedy special I never knew about Mitch, but now that I do the mystery comedian I remember was distinctly smaller, and didn’t have the sort of druggie-drawl.

Mystery guy’s routine was very funny, but ended poorly (IMHO) with an odd and elaborate stage musical number. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Try this link on the Bob&Tom.com and check out the 100+ pics…maybe he’s on there.

Might help if you can remember part of his routine.

The guy ended with a choir of ex-girlfriends singing while he flipped papers on an easel, perhaps?

Well, he did say “skinny”.

Demetri Martin, perhaps?

Zach is just big-boned. :smack:

You’re probably correct with Demetri.

He is! Thank you. Thread over.

Demetri Martin often appears as the “youth correspondent” on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. His segments are usually hit-or-miss, but his most recent- about SAT test-prep tools- was pretty alacrity.

Maybe it was Todd Barry?

Todd Barry on hot off the grill with bobby flay.

I would nail Demetri’s mom.

That was gonna be my guess. Actually my first guess was Mitch Fatel, but then the OP mentioned the music. Dimetri and Mitch Hedburg both do similar comedy.
