Ol' EZ needs 'puter help!

I’m running an iBM Netvista ---------four years old.

Suddenly I’ve lost my taskbar----------and also the system recovery point on f-11.

I would like to run a recovery as an attempt at rejuvenation.

While this is no a serio8s problem—yet----------

It is an aggravation.

As some Brits are wont to say,“I don’t need the agro.”

I’ve dug into my bag of tricks but the rabbit tells me to “hop it”.

Any help out there for an “old mossy horn”?

OK, I’ll see what I can do …

When you say you’ve “lost” your taskbar what do you mean ? I guess you’ve tried rebooting. What OS are you running ?

My first guess, and I’m sorry if this is patronising but it’s worth making sure, is that you’ve hidden it. Either by setting ‘auto-hide’ in which case it’ll pop out of one of the sides of the screen if you move your mouse off that side. Try all the sides as it can move sides too.

The other option is that you’ve made it zero lines wide/big which you can normally fix by moving your mouse to the side of the screen where it should live and clicking-and-dragging it back up. Your cursor should change to the up/down or left/right resize arrows.

Sorry if you knew all that already but worth trying. If it’s not that then post what OS you’re using and any other details (when / how did you lose it, any other symptoms) and I’m sure someone will be able to help.
