Wicket’s 1010 pieces! When the movie came out, they were selling plush Ewoks. One evening I discovered this, and mentioned this to my parents, as this was not long before Christmas. After Christmas, I found out my mom had to leave the room, because she had already bought me one and was tickled pink that she got it before I had even asked for it.
Thanks. That’s what the doctor is planning. No robot, just her. I’ve been reading up, and it seems many U.S. women have the surgery and go back home. After the procedure I’ll get two nights at the hospital and then two weeks off work.
I guess I have to buy a nightgown or something…
Not sure about the okra, but fresh creamed corn. We’re going to the farmer’s market tomorrow to get more strawberries (somebody wants another pie) and see if I can get some beefsteak tomatoes.
Not me, but here’s somebody who’s done it.
That would be a 10 hour trip for me, so I hope it’s a bit shorter for you, epecially if you’re just going for the weekend.
Root canal doesn’t sound like fun, but glad you don’t have to wait too long to get the tooth fixed.
Sounds like a clambake got crossed with a BBQ. My grandfather would eat some strange combinations - his excuse was it was all going in the same place.

Thanks for the good wishes. The doctor gave me her card, so I can call with questions. At some point I have to figure out how to tell my parents without them going into full panic mode. Since I’ll see them before the surgery, I think I’ll do it in person.
It’ll be my first surgery. My dad’s first surgery was when he was 49. I think my mom’s first surgery was her knee replacement at 79, unless cataract surgery counts.
I am now officially allergic to latex. At least for medical procedures. I get a reaction from contacting black rubber, such as escalator handrails, and that’s enough for her to update my medical records accordingly.
And on that note, time to go to bed. Good night!
