I would be pretty proud of her as well! Is there a way to share a pic of her poster?
Well, dang. I haven’t gotten my latest booster, thanks for the reminder. I don’t want sore eyeballs.
I’m glad you made it in time. We’ve got storms moving in as well and I’m rather disappointed that we can’t actually see lightning here. I can see the forest flicker with light and hear the boomers, but when they are right over head I’m inside comforting GG.
Well dang, I didn’t know you had so many lofty expectations as far as proper attire was concerned. I might have to rethink our friendship.
Dang about the gear, I hope it gets better soon!
I’m fairly sure that Charlie will be available tomorrow, the other cages were full of kittens and most people want kittens before adults. We don’t want a kitten, they are terrors and too small for GG to play with.
So today we went to Staples and bought a couple of desk chairs. Mine is clearly a girl chair, the seat is narrow enough that my legs don’t stick out when I’m sitting on it and it is a nice mauve. His is a black gaming chair with many adjustments.
Some random customer asked us if we were buying anything today and then handed us a 15% off everything in the store coupon. The sales guy who brought to the check out counter also found an online match for my chair so we spent much less than expected/hoped.
While we were waiting for someone to help us load, a young female looking person said she could help and took the cart and headed to the door. I noticed that she had her purse and a bottle of water so spoke up demanding to know if she was on her break cause ain’t nobody working off the clock for us. She said she had just clocked in but thanked me for noticing.
Humpf. Our BofA was built shortly after I was born (in 1957) and had iron bars in front of the windows and tellers stations. Mom let go of my hand one day when she was signing paperwork. Her memory is failing and she has forgotten our last train trip to the Grand Canyon, but she clearly remembers the embarrassment of that bank trip to this day.
(I was in a gingham pinafore with those horrible scratchy underskirts and patent leather Mary Jane shoes, I’m sure I looked quite the picture as the firemen smeared axle grease over my white blond hair.)
Oh, yeah. We both have agreed that our WV bank account will never have more than 5G. Mostly we have it to establish residency and because it is handy to have a local checking account to pay the local repair folks.
The bank lady was slightly surprised when we didn’t want debit cards, but many folks out this way just keep their money under their mattress. She seemed happier that she could set us up with a checking account but didn’t seem to understand that we didn’t want to sign up for overdraft protection (at an extra charge).
Our housekeeper and her hubby came over today to get the bed but we didn’t think that they would be able to get the box spring in her momvan. Hubs and her hubby had a discussion and then suddenly Hubs remembered that we own a cargo trailer, the same one we used to bring the chairs and kitty tree home.
They are super happy to have the bed and we are super happy to have it gone so it is a win in our book.
And now the power just started flickering. This is the third time since we moved in, hubs is probably going to be talking about a genny soon.
