Old arcade game from the early '90s

Hey im trying to find the name of an old arcade game i used to play at the local movie theatre, it was a two player game where one would drive a red corvette i think and the other would stand up and fire an oozy at other gang types hangin out of other cars or vans. If anyone knows the name let me know cheers.

While it’s possible that’s enough information, a little more won’t hurt. Approximately how long ago was this? How realistic were the graphics?

Could it be Chase H.Q. or its sequel, Special Criminal Investigation?

Being a two-player game makes me think it’s Namco’s 1993 release Lucky & Wild. Gameplay video here.

Chase HQ didn’t have guns IIRC - you had to ram the bad guy. SCI did have the passenger standing up in a convertible, but it was a Nissan. And that was only a one-player game, I think.

An oozy what, exactly?

Joe

Some oozy ouzo.

I’m guessin’ it was Cruis’n?

Not sure if this is a whoosh, but the OP means Uzi.
Game is not ringing any bells with me though, sorry.

I’m thinking this is it. I remember playing that game a lot with my cousin in the arcades at the beach in early 90s.

Moving to the Game Room.

Dude, things from the 90’s can legally purchase alcohol now.

That doesn’t make them old. :stuck_out_tongue:

Where’s that Doper spirit? Is no one going to snark on me for apparently not reading the title?

Okay, snark. “Old arcade game from the early '90s” is an oxymoron anyway.

When I see “Old arcade game” I’m thinking, like, Skee-Ball

There’s old, and then there’s Old

And then there’s OLD: Sky Gunner. I recall playing this (and its companion, Night Fighter) at the “World Famous B&I Circus Store” in my teens — and they’d been relegated to the dusty back corner then.

Hello everyone,

This is my first post in this forum. I hope someone can help me out here.
I am trying to find the title of an old arcade game from the early 90’s. Here’s what I remember from the game.
The player is some kind of a marine soldier and at the 2nd boss stage he’s fighting a guy who’s holding a fishing spear and is also spinning it therefore bouncing off the bullet the player shoots at him. This is all happening on top of an emerged submarine.
Stage 3 (as I recall) takes place inside a military plane and instead of the typical left-to-right moving sequence that happens in every classic 2D game, the player advances in the stage from right to left. As the player moves on, sometimes the emergency exit doors open and if the player is near it, he falls off the plane. The boss level includes robotic machines that are attached to the 4 “walls” of the screen and they move round the screen frame shooting laser beams.

I’m sorry I don’t remember anything else from the game.
Is there anyone who might have played it and maybe remembers its title?

Thank you in advance.
