Old Avon Decanters

I’m cleaning out my grandma’s house, and she’s got several (Ok…lots and lots!) of those perfume/after-shave decanters. Some of them are in the shape of boys, girls, women, men, football players, cars, fish, radios, etc.

Should I just toss 'em, or keep 'em? They mean NOTHING to me at all. They mean nothing to her, either. Just a big bunch of dust-catchers. Most of them aren’t even opened and still have some product in them, even though, Og, it’s Avon, for heaven’s sake…you KNOW it’s nasty stuff! Especially now that they’re ancient!

Would it be worth the hassle to take pictures of them and sell 'em on Ebay or not?

It’s certainly worth some time poking around on eBay and seeing what similar things go for.

Thanks. I’ll do that.

It’s certainly worthwhile to check out ebay (or there’s most likley an Avon collector site). While I don’t think that any of them go for huge sums, there are some that are fairly collectible.

nonacetone, if your grandma has one that is in the shape of snoopy sitting with a blue baseball hat on it for a cap, let me know via email - I’d be interested in maybe buying it.

Thanks.
