Evening all. Three loads of laundry cleaned and dried and put away, dined at Olive Garden, did some paper-filing and spent a couple hours at the gym, and have now sammiched and am in sloth mode for the balance of the evening. Temperature is down to 55F, I came out of the gym around 5:20pm and it was the first time I felt like maybe I should have had a jacket or light covering with me; the real true harbringer of fall here in N. Ali-bama.
Olive Garden annoyed me a little bit, I got my order taken, got my Diet Coke and water, then the Big Salad Bowl and breadsticks, all was in order…and then no more than 90 seconds after I got my salad my main course arrived. Now, maybe it’s just me, but I like to spend at least a little time with my salad before getting into the Pasta/Steak/Whatever I’m having and was a little disconcerted to have to work on both of them at the same time. I know, First World Problems, but it’s my dinner that I’m paying for so a little complaint is justified, IMHO.
red, guess you’re right, I’ve always been an early diner, but it is designed to beat the Church crowds. Works well except at Texas Roadhouse, which always seems to have a line at the door waiting to get in at opening.
FCM, I hope training can cure Otis of the jumping instinct; that strikes me as moderately dangerous, especially with the kids around your house so much. And your planning shopping reminds me of my Kroger trips and gathering points for cheap gasoline–makes me do some forward planning.
Cookie, ever considered a debit card from your bank’s checking? I finally got one last year and it has been quite valuable.
Knots, I am not a Polar Bear Club Member, so I’ll forgo the did in Lake Michigan.
Oopsie, you’ll never lose your memory of Bailey, but the hurting will pass eventually.
Meanwhile, here’s some hugs {{{ }}}. And glad you’re having better luck with the new hires than boo fae has with some of her old ones…and I haven’t looked hard at a quarter in some time, will have to pay a little more attention to them.
JtC, hope Harry can ascertain the state of the house(keeper).
Piper, nice that the reunion went well. Never went to any of mine (my HS graduating class was over 900 students, so hard to remember many of them and I went to a large University, so not into reunions there). But glad you had fun and safe journey home.
Pavo, can’t recall ever hearing Bach’s vocals, but I’ll rely on your taste.
Dad gummit, I do try to proofread my posts before leaving the page, how I missed that…
swampy, your like me and soccer refereeing; when there is a need and no one else is available, there I am…and it goes for you and Church duties.
And that may be all for the night, need to do a couple more laundry loads early tomorrow before Ubering down to the dealership and getting that new car smell…take care all and catch you on the next MMP.
