Morning all. Made to about 90% totality before I pooped out and slept till 7am. The Great September Grocery Shopping is about 85% done (need to go to another nearby Kroger to pickup a few more items) and I’ll get them here in a bit, just digesting my pecan sticky bun (my, how delicious). Soccer practice with the 9 year olds today, with games starting tomorrow. Already 83F and heading to 88F, so the AC will be staying on today.

I’ve finished the second coat of cetol after fixing up the messy job FCD did yesterday. He just lacks the attention to detail when it comes to painting and such - he should have let me do it. But it’s done. And I’ve ingested lunch, so it’s time to start laundry. Rah.
Another sunny day today. Breakfast was fried taters with eggs and sausage. I don’t usually make this, as the fat content doesn’t agree with me, but the wife likes it.
Mostly done puzzling, but the NYT crossword is not making me happy.

Last night was Open House for the High School. It was our last one. Squeaky graduates this spring, and then we will have an empty nest. Mrs Magill is planning on getting T-shirts for the teachers that had all three boys, something like, “I survived all three Magill boys, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.”

Another late Air, and a mad scramble with the driver leaving late. I feel sorry for the one driver, he had 20 tires, 4 of them giant truck tires. Among the rewraps were 3 cases of Staples 8x14" paper going to…The International Paper plant. 
Of course driving home a Honda Civic came flying out of the Exxon, and almost t-boned me. Relax dude, it’s not a BMW.(To be fair, Beemers swerve into my lane at high speed from the opposite direction.). I stopped at Teeter for some catfish, a lime, and some Czech Party Mix

Hm, not sure; the current holder possibly has a baby on the way, which is being reported as the first there of the species since 2009, and he was picked as a successor in 2008, so it’s not impossible. I suspect not though, or they would have mentioned it somewhere.
In the last 2 days I’ve gotten calls/voicemail leaving a number with a NYC area code in a vaguely legal-sounding somewhat threatening message. Except the caller is addressing someone with FCD’s first and last name by my middle initial. And it mentions something about our county.
I did a search and found a guy in our zip code who has the name, including middle initial, that the caller mentioned. From the look of his FB page, he’s lots younger and waaaaay more right wing than FCD ever was. Not that it matters - I don’t answer calls from numbers I don’t know, and a google search of the caller’s number came up as a debt collector/robocall. I’m guessing if it is a debt collector, he just found first/last name matching my phone number and decided to give it a shot.
Anyway, that’s this afternoon’s excitement. First load of laundry done, second in the dryer, last in the washer. Good times. I think supper tonight will be grazing.
We’re starting the day with a roughly $140 order involving SIX POUNDS OF FRENCH FRIES.
About how big would a normal order of fries be? I’m sure 6 pounds is a lot, I’m just trying for some sense of scale.
Vancouver is also pleasant for a Mumpfest if our regional folks have passports. I’ve gone to Alaska out of Canada Place. Pretty easy to uae public transit to get there.

Once I get an appointment set with the nephrologist, I need to ask about safe pain relief, since the one drug that I was on is out of the question now and likely, forever. I have opiates that I don’t like to use unless I have to, cause, yeah all of the side effects. shoe, you are likely more familiar with Texas MJ laws than I (they weren’t strictly enforced in TN), but I’m thinking some gummies might be what I need.
That stomach bug I had a couple weeks ago really took it out of me. I just achieved mowage, but had to stop and rest 4 times doing it.
