Happy Veterans Day to all Mumper vets! 
I’m supposed to meet my personal trainer at 3pm today, to make up the Election Day session I had to cancel, but I’ve decided to skip it. I had a bunch of personal administrivia to do this morning, including sending a long email to my mom’s BFF, and now it’s almost 1pm already and I’m just getting around to the MMP – and I still have to eat lunch and do a little work (despite the holiday; it’ll take much less time when no one else is working). The lunch part will be handled by the Instacart delivery that was supposed to have arrived by now but has shifted to arriving “between 1:16 and 1:33.” 
(1:28 update: it just arrived! Yay!)
The threat of violence, perhaps, but I’m also half Irish: wooden spoons (specifically) were just an Italian thing. 
I ordered three more retired sets after I posted yesterday. 
I now also have Sesame Street (which I’d almost bought with the others), the Lincoln Memorial, and the US Capitol Building heading my way. After ordering the White House set I got to wondering whether there were other retired DC-related sets, and now I’ll have three of them – but I think all of them will need to wait until next year to be put together, because of the lack of available display surfaces while the Christmas decorations are out. Now I really won’t buy any more until all of these are put together.
Not that I can tell. But then, it’s a much younger building. I think the east and west wings will be removeable, though!
