Woo hoo, JBats!
We just got on a subscription plan with White Mountain Puzzles. They make excellent puzzles, but they subcontract their website to a not-at-all-excellent dimwadfarm. Consequently, the transaction was full of backtracking and grawlix from Mrs. Nott. It’s a struggle for me to sit next to her growfing and try to remember that it’s not aimed at me. That’s one of my many flaws.
JaneTheCane, I once read an “advice from a former burglar” article that said any hidden keys should be at least 20 feet from your door. He said thieves all know about fake rocks. I once knew a thief. He told me of backing a pickup truck next to a house and simply sliding the window A/C unit out of the window. He’d do this at 3 or 4 houses and call it a good day.
I just finished reading Maximum Ride, and I enjoyed it enough to immediately jump to the sequel, School’s Out Forever.. Before MR, I read Fever Beach.. It’s always fun to read Carl Hiaasen.
I finally got around to putting a reminder on my calendar for Science Friday at 2:00pm on NPR. I’d usually forget until it was half over.
Here’s something else I got around to, with a great deal of help from my brilliant wife. I now have on one sheet, all the Mumper nicknames. I got it from the link in FCM’s link, and now it’s tucked next to my computer. Thank you, FCM!

Van Gogh, please don’t give your pup ice cubes. I know, she loves 'em, but they’ll break her teeth. I learned it the hard way with my last dog.
Sherwin-Williams actually calls it Haint Blue, and gardening sources say it does keep wasps and birds from nesting.
