You have a few options: 1) Ice it: it calms the inflammation 2) Call the doc and ask about oral prednisone. It slows healing and suppresses the immune system, but a low dose for just a few days could really help. 3) Ask about Steri-Strips. They’re still tape, but they cover less skin. 4) Ask about a liquid bandage.

5. Amputate.

Back in April they ran (swam?) the 26th annual duck race in the Pawtcatuck River (CT/RI state line) every year. I gather around 18,000 of the 20,000 ducks were sponsored this year, and the grand prize was a trip for four (two parents and two kids) or $2500.
