Happy Juneteenth everyone. For those who don’t know, government workers don’t get more and more days off, if they get a new one, they lose an other one so they only get the 10 or 12 yearly holidays they signed up for.
I love bamboo fabric, it’s environmentally friendly and lasts forever. Plus, it feels like soft, comfy t-shirt material. Sadly, hubs hated the bamboo sheets I bought to use in the summer and thought that the thick linen sheets must be cooler because of the looser weave. Not a hill worth climbing, especially when I’m always cold.
Summer has set in for good, currently it’s 85F at 2000. I’m watering everything and hoping that the monsoons will start. The weather guessers are saying this might be another nonsoon which makes me sad.

Our UPS driver took a minute to tell me that he’s pretty sure that he will never be able to drive a truck with AC because only trucks bought after the beginning of next year will have AC so the bastids are ordering a new mess of trucks now so they don’t have to spend the money to keep drivers who are working in triple digit heat from passing out from heat stroke.
I do wish there was a practical way for us to boycott them, but we don’t have many options out in the sticks.

As an ex-floozy, I feel obligated to warn you about messing around with the younger than 25 crowd. Experience makes such a difference and you were probably the best time he’s ever had. He’s gonna want more and at that age they fall in love and want to get married and have babbies and live happily ever after. But…wow, the energy and enthusiasm and stamina they bring to the bed is pretty awesome!

Yeah. I remember visiting Dad and him thinking I was a home health aide. It sucked. For some reason, I can’t wrap my mind around the idea that the same thing will happen with Mom. It’s just not fair.
How fun for them! Cheese making is a very satisfying hobby, I posted my cottage cheese method in the Cafe society a while back. Playing with milk, or how I make cottage cheese and got responses from others who also enjoyed playing with milk.
Soft sweet cheese with mint is very nice. Do warn them that it is possible to put too much garlic in their cream cheese.
