I have some tea labeled as gluten free. It’s also kosher. I get that it has to pass though some hoops to be kosher, but the gluten free seems to be a given.
She sounds like a Pearl of wisdom.
Due to work and weather-related disruptions of schedule, I haven’t cracked open a book in four days. And the one on Friday shouldn’t count, because it sucked. I’m freakin’ out, man!
The saturday before Memorial Day, our building had a cookout. My phone rings, I look at it to see, and its my ex. Of course, I dont answer. (Yay me). Few days later I text his dad. It seems he was probably calling to tell me his grandmother died. I hadnt met her.
So I tell his dad, you know, your son still owes me 50 dollars since he didn’t buy me that loveseat he said he would. (It seems hes still getting his full checks, his dad wonders when they’ll catch on).
His dad says he’ll pay me. That was 3 weeks ago. I text him once in a while, it says delivered but not read
On a bright note, I finally got a job. Yes! And free coffee, which is a perk of the job…
Congratulations on the new job, and on not answering that phone call!
I suggest not pursuing this money. It can only lead to hurt. You are well rid of this guy. Leave it be.
I start thursday.
Don’t pursue, but never forget!
I just had someone in dire need of my services. My business software reminded me the woman had screwed me out of $95 (NSF check never made good) in 1998. I told my receptionist I wanted nothing to do with her The woman remembered the $95, but insisted there was a statute of limitations for debt. She swears she’s going to “report me”!
ETA: $95 in 1998 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $177.25 today,
Awesome! I knew you’d find something if you kept at it. Well done!
I’m just glad that Pearl is not ‘in your face’…
And with 25 years interest it’s even more.
Congrats! I know it’s been tough to find a place for you. May everything go smoothly for a change.
Thank you!
Congratulations! And best of luck in the new role.
Thanks. Gotta get up at 5 a.m.! Six days a week, but I will have a job. Tomorrow, I have another interview, maybe I’ll get a p/t evening job!
I am happily rid of him, but his dad had said he’d bring it to me, and the texts are delivered, not read. I feel cheated. What a family they are.
I had this odd feeling that I brewed a cup of coffee in my Keurig but forgot about it, but I looked over and there was no cup there, so I just let it go. Now it’s three hours later and I decided to brew myself an actual cup of coffee only to see the overflow reservoir overflowed and a puddle of coffee on the counter.
That’s the second time in six months I’ve brewed a cup with out putting a cup in the damn thing. I think I’m losing my marbles.
If you’re putting marbles in the Keurig you really have some problems.
Congrats on the job! Must be a relief and a great feeling! An evening job on top of that sounds exhausting, but then, I speak as a retired old fart who is annoyed by energy-sapping responsibilities like having to get out of bed in the morning. You young kids have lots more zip than I do!
