They already know that you are a solid worker and willing to learn and change. Fingers crossed that you get it!
Awwww, I’m sorry. GG isn’t really a cuddler either. He is always in arm’s reach of a hooman but he really doesn’t like being picked up and carried around. Laps are a no go with him as well but he does cuddle up next to us when we are in bed so that is nice.
I’m fairly sure kitty ran away and got lost because her home was gone so she had to find a new one. They would have found her bones otherwise.
Oh, thank you! It wasn’t a fast hit, he was trying to straighten his truck out in a tight parking lot. He didn’t hit our car hard enough to make my head bob and I was pretty sure from the lack of noise that nothing was damaged.
I’m really glad I was there to see which direction the car was hit, cause if we had come out to find a note (he had his wallet in his hand while apologizing and looking at cars…I assumed that was so he could share his insurance info), we would still be walking around the car looking for non-existent damage!
Thank you so much kind Sir!
When I see folks with overflowing plates, I always assume that they know exactly what they like and don’t have to fiddlefart around with one shrimp at a time.
We are new here, I’m still learning about the food. One thing that surprises me is the quality of the Kim-chi. I have never once been disappointed by it here, it always has a nice bite and this is a state that thinks that mild Pace Picante is HOT sauce.
I just found something interesting about the booze market in Canada that I wanted to share.
Seen people asking what happens to it all. I asked an LCBO employee.
"RE: LCBO
When Russia invaded Ukraine, we pulled all Russian products off the shelves. They sat in our store’s warehouse for months before being shipped back to the main warehouse for return to the manufacturer. I expect the same process here—set everything aside, wait, and if the situation doesn’t change, send it all back to the U.S.
Worst-case scenario, it gets written off as a tax loss for Ontario, but the idea of it all being poured down the drain? Highly unlikely, as long as it’s still sellable. This is uncharted territory—recalls and disposals happen for quality issues, but nothing on this scale has been done before. This is a massive amount of product.
One thing I do know: the LCBO is extremely strict about protocol when it comes to disposal. If we have a broken bottle or an unsellable return, one employee and one manager must witness the disposal at the store level. Every bottle is marked with a LOT#, so if anything were to turn up being resold elsewhere, it would be a serious liability.
So it looks like my assumptions were correct and the Canadians are far too sensible to pour good - consignment booze out.
We stopped at Aldi’s on the way home and I bought a couple of loaves of their bake and serve bread. I’m really surprised at how good it is. Had I known this and about their super cheddar selection, we would have been making a special trip once a month ever since we got here.
I also have to get up several times at night so I’m going to try to remember to get into the habit. Bad hip up or down?
I do like breakfast for dinner as well.
I think that we will have a Dutch Baby soon, I’ve never tried one but they sure do sound good. We have sausage and bacon I can bake up for the sides.
The UPS truck just backed in, that guy is amazing, no hesitation at all and he only has 6 inches clearance to play with.
