That sounds tasty, except I really like regular coffee. I have the spiced rum and the heavy cream, but not the cream de coco. I forsee a trip to the liquor store.
We had snow before it got bitterly cold, so when the truly frigid temps came in the snow didn’t melt.and the birds are hungry. I’ve been putting out a lot more seed. Since this time yesterday the feeder went down by three quarters. I’ve refilled it just now.
I like regular coffee better, but I have to be careful with it in the evenings. I learned about the booze pairing here, someone recommended it with hot chocolate but that was too sweet for me.
Our birds are also pretty hungry. I found half a bag of stale walnuts in the back of the pantry so whacked them up and put them out. WV birds think that stale walnuts are pretty tasty!
They wouldn’t have it out there if there wasn’t a market. So, it’s more than just Sirius programming.
Have you listened to it? Most of the music I’ve heard in plant nursery’s has been chamber music, but I always assumed that it was just quiet background noise, not for the plants. Check it out and report back, I kinda like chamber music while stitching and watching the forest.
Howdy Y’all! We procured provisions and then were RDOS cause that exhausted us. We day drank martinis and sup got fixed and et. It was very nummy if’n I do say so myself. Gotta remember to make shrimpies ‘n grits more often.
Oopsie glad your father’s surgery went well. Hopefully you are home and buildin’ your Lego set as I post.
Taters enjoy your time off. I say screw the laptop, but you are much more dedicated than I would be.
Coppertone yay for the key! Glad you got your flu stab and glad you are goin’ to get the RSV stab. Your friend is in my prayers.
Cookie hope the heat is fixed soonest.
Rocker I don’t think I could keep up with the pace of the excitatement in your buildin’. It would be too much for a RDOS like me!
Piper that sounds like a fine plan to me. Enjoy!
52 apparently quite a few of the Mumpets are day drinkers.
doggio ain’t it fun to get to do stoopid stuff legally!
MOOOOOOM I would wait for Prime to contact me. I figure sooner or later they will realize they have not been paid.
BBBoo I like how that looks like a ghost with a stutter. Hope you get home not frozen.
It seems pretty much like low-key background music, biasing a little toward classical. Not sure there’s a real difference between the Cats and Plants channels.
Thanks for being willing to take a hit for the team. Cats and plants like things calm and quiet, it makes sense that they would like the same sort of music. Except Spot. I think he plays Death Metal while Doggio is at work.
I’ve had to block one of my US senators because her damn texts and phone calls were getting out of hand. To attempt a battle of the wits with her would be fighting an unarmed person.
As does a sockful of rice.
This time of year, I try not to let my gas tank get below 1/2 full.
Lentils are quite good with the right recipe. Check out some middle eastern or Indian recipes.
It’s been a day of unannounced visitors to my irk station. The group was fine, just some more upper management types wanting the same info I’ve been dispensing all week. The last one showed up 10 minutes before quitting time and wanted to go over some outdated work instructions that I’ve never used (don’t even have the dongles for them) and didn’t leave until I told him that I was outta there. Oy!
Other than that, it’s the same cold and will be for about half the weekend.
Up from naptime. Having a martini, Smoked Paprika Chicken, and lemon pepper broccoli. Watching the Four Nations Faceoff final. There’s players I like, and players I hate on both teams.
Had to borrow Roomie’s Explorer.
Yay for healing!
Reminds me of the time I had to do an English to English translation between an Indian(British English) customer and my Mexican(American English) assistant Manager. All those years of watching Brit TV on PBS paid off that day.
Congrats!
Well, last time we yeeted out a mad king, it started with letter writing.
Well, it is the perfect music to zoomie to(that and Mötorhead) \m/–\m/
The yeeting of the mad king was done by a group of drunk men. Most dangerous thing in the world drunk men. It is how the marines started.
Decisions were made… the picture thing did get complicated. It will not be totally decided until next week when the new chairs arrive. They did have a definite decision on what to do with the old chairs. Win…
The reason FCD talked to the caseworker was to give her background that BIL wouldn’t share for whatever reason. He still denies that he fractured his skull and has seizures.
Anyway, that’s the extent of involvement. The more they know, the better they can deal with him.
I’ve started biking again - inside on the stationary bike while watching TV. That way when I see the cardiologist next month, I won’t have to lie too much about doing the cardio he recommended. Plus I can watch shows that FCD doesn’t like.
Still too cold, but warmer is on the way. Theoretically…
And how many times did they make a final decision about the paint?
At least nobody stealth repainted like they did the decorations!
Yes I am laughing with you, your decorating committee news is as entertaining as the bin reports from the UK!
Things got very exciting here for a few minutes. It is 13F at 2125 and the lights flickered. I figured that meant we should all move to the bedroom for the night but Hubs thought it meant he should go out in the cold and start the genny to be sure it worked. The generator is in a windowless storage room and somehow he managed to not only lock himself in the storage room, he switched off the house power before connecting the genny and was locked into a cold dark room while knowing that his wife probably doesn’t know where her cell phone is and won’t hear it ringing (because it is in her jacket pocket which is hanging in the bedroom closet).
When the power went out inside, I just turned on a battery powered trouble light because I knew it was just him messing around.
He was out there for at least five minutes before I got annoyed about the no lights thing and now he’s upset with me because I don’t feel the need to have my phone attached to my hand 24/7. (I will make more of an effort to have it in the same room with me, though. Or at least in hearing distance.)
Hubs’ cousin is doing much better now that her daughter has made her do some self care. It seems that eating wasn’t on her to-do list while she was at the hospital with her husband, now that she’s had some food and sleep, she is much better.
Husband will probably not be coming home again, his body is recovering nicely, his mind is not. He thinks they are living in Georgia (they lived there for ten years twenty-five years ago and bitched cousin out over something that happened while unpacking so much that she fled his hospital room in tears.)
There isn’t, but we’re planning to create an off-road classical playlist on an SD card that the Jeep has a slot for. (Granted, we could just do that on a phone’s music player and use either Bluetooth or USB.)
Late night final here. Went back to the gym this evening to put some more work in and then home for Ham-n-Cheesers. Am now getting prepared for bedtime, will be up early tomorrow to go Krogering for my 4x fuel points for my next fill-up. Down to 19F but there is some hope for a warmer day tomorrow…we’ll see.
Now to see how the past 6 hours have gone…
Dicey, interesting, didn’t know about that difference, but then there are days that I’m not so hot with English…
VanGo, welcome to the ‘not self-employed’ world; I hope you like it.
Wet one, good news on the hammie, hope the execises help.
JtC, your Hubs wouldn’t like me, my phone is off about 70% of the time, so he would have been SOL with me. And sad news for cousin-in-law, I think it is so much harder to deal with a loved one with a failing mind than with a failing body…hoping I don’t face either too soon.
And it’s 10:20pm, so ne to put this old body to bed. Catch y’all on Firday.
