Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 9c/48f with a predicted high of 10c/50f and mostly cloudy. Weather app says “Cloudy with the occasional fucking sunny fart.”
Belated happy birthday, doggio!

No fractures is always good news, I hope they can organise some other kind of therapy to help with the pain and swelling.
I thought of you on my daily commute this morning, @Maus_Magill - I buy a day ticket for the local transport network and as well as the date, it has a different word every day. Today’s word is Fang!
Mooom sorry to hear that Tobias is poorly, I hope he doesn’t spread it around to anyone else.
Quite possibly because “curb” has an entirely different meaning and the 17th century might have been when we started building decent roads with proper pavements (and kerbstones!)
Yesterday was a busy one in the end. I got my online shopping order in good time so managed to get all of that stashed away before ‘im indoors even got out of bed. I had a lot of stuff to cover for my holidaying minion, much of it was straightforward and got done but I found some problems with a few things so had to raise queries with people. Much has been resolved, there are still two things being worked on this morning with midday deadlines so I can get onto releasing marks and feedback for 17 modules this afternoon.
The mobile mechanic turned up at lunchtime, it took him all of 5 minutes to diagnose a completely dead battery, and put a new one in. He said it most likely had a dead cell inside, it was so totally drained it wouldn’t even have charged up with a powerpack. So we are mobile again!
More irk ensued, I logged off about an hour later than usual and went downstairs to do campus food preparation. ‘im indoors made dinner so I had some sofa time with Blossom. I managed to finish a book I’d been reading but not enjoying much, so now I can move onto something else. Dinner was pulled pork burritos as that was the mystery meat that came out of the freezer.
Tonight I will probably make chilli as I’ve got mince in the fridge. Might go to the pub, might not, probably will.
